  • has anyone ever told you you sound alot like Luna Lovegood?

  • Miss you're gorgeous btw.

Just putting that out there ^^

  • Have you ever noticed how Ron Paul never says god bless America? And yet is deeply religious?

  • @Spjungen Yep. He doesn't use his religion as a political tool.

  • I agree with what you say about Obama, and Paul is my favorite Republican. However, Ron Paul does not believe in the separation of church and state. He has illustrated that several times. He also doesn't "buy" evolution, which is very surprising and scary, coming from a doctor. If elected, he would not be able to get rid of the things that do in fact make religion and evolution important issues. How many more schools will teach creationism because Paul is elected? I fear that it would be a lot.

  • @firegod001 Errrr no...firstly Ron Paul doesn't believe in either. Of course the name of the youtube video doesn't say that. He says at the end that he doesn't think we have enough knowledge to say either way. Whether or not he believes however is TOTALLY irrelevant because, as this woman says, he believes in a government that is so limited that it shall never espouse or enforce ANY sort of view on religion, irreligion, etc...so that means secular stay secular, parochial stay parochial.

  • @Spjungen I already addressed that. It doesn't matter what he believes nearly as much as what would happen if he became president. I'm not saying I know it would happen, and I am even considering voting for the man, but i think he could very well lead us to even more of a theocratic direction than we're already heading towards.

  • @firegod001 That's the most importat aspect of his belief: choice. EVERYONE has a right to choose what they believe, and if they want to run a school dedicated to what they believe, that's their choice. If they want to pray in their school, that's their choice. If they want their school to not have religious bullshit, that's their choice. If they want to be creationist that's THEIR fucking choice.

No MORE schools will teach creationism than they do now...

  • @Spjungen Yes, but people turning our nation into the scientific laughing stock of the world with all of this cretinist nonsense is not a good thing at all. And as they have a choice to spew that crap, I have the choice to fight back.

  • @firegod001 presidents have nothing to do with what is taught in schools...

  • @angryamicus Wrong. I'm not going to repeat myself, so please just get some better reading comprehension, okay?

  • @firegod001 According to Ron Paul's Libertarian philosophy fed govt has no authority in schools. Failing education, corporatism via govt-regulated monoplies & our pushy, warmongering foreign policy makes US a laughingstock of the world. Libertarians believe govt lacks ability to enforce morality, so that's why he has no political issue with gay marriage, legalizing drugs etc Paul is against legislating personal beliefs & adult choices that do not violate the rights of other individuals.

  • Once again, you need much better reading comprehension. Sorry to be rude, but it's true. What the source is for that lack of reading comprehension is a mystery. It could be having a head way too far up the ass of a politician. I LIKE Paul, but him trying to get rid of The Department of Education is CRAZY and he would never get it done. He can HOPE for a president to not have certain power all he wants, but he would probably use that power anyway to make us more of a theocracy among other things.

  • You sound like a Blade Runner android.

  • Great post! Dr. Ron Paul is such a refreshing paradigm shift and many people have not even heard such a unique and alternative perspective.

Some of the most respected and distinguished professionals have recently spoken very highly of Dr. Ron Paul's integrity, principles and vision. Dr. Mercola, Jesse Ventura, Dr. Cornel West, Congressman Dennis Kucinich, Dylan Ratigan, Ralph Nader, etc. All of whom have tremendous credibility, international respect and their perspectives are highly esteemed.

  • Ron Paul has stated repeatedly that he believes there is no such thing as the separation of church and state. I am very cautious about this guy.

  • @guitarguy1611 can you please give more information? thanks

  • Your voice is awesome.

  • I don't like his de-regualtion stance, his gold standard stance, his 16th amendment stance, his hard on for state rights, and a slew of other things. All he has got going for him for me is the legalizations of all current illegal drugs, and his military budget cutting.

  • Good points, but video could have been one minute. Ron Paul 2012.

  • Problem with ron paul is he does not believe religon is irrelevant, infact he opposes the entire concept of the separation of church and state, and supports religon in the class room and like wise also opposes gay rights (H.R.7955). He does not believe in equal rights (H.R.3863, H.R.5909, H.J.RES.46, and H.J.RES.42). He opposes the working class (H.R.2030, H.R.4604, H.R.736, and H.R.2720). in general hes just another crazy conservative fundie attempting to hide his insanity.

  • @Lokivoid Look at his 2006 Financial disclosure and you will see why he want to go back to the gold standard so much. Conflict of interest much?

  • I get very highly annoyed each time that Obama ends a speech by saying, "God Bless America". Ron Paul cannot take away the freedom of choice for women to have an abortion. It's a major step backward. I don't like any of the potential candidates for president, including Ron Paul, who stands no chance of being elected president. I'm a staunch Athiest and exceedingly liberal. Far left. If Ron Paul is the best that we have to offer, this country is in sad shape.

  • @jamielynnfox Check out Jon Huntsman's site, and see what you think of him. That is my guy currently.

  • What a fucking important video, spread this to every liberal FB wall you know.

  • Overall, he does advocate separation of church and state but his morality comes directly from his religious beliefs. Thus, any policy decision where the Constitution allows for moral or ethical distinctions will be decisions based at least partially on Christian principles. Which isn't always a bad thing.

Also, I'd listen to audio books narrated in this voice any time.

  • Though I don't always agree with Ron Paul, I will vote for him. However, I disagree with the premise that he separates his personal and professional life and that his religious beliefs have no bearing on his policy decisions. He is heavily religious; he thinks America should only wage "just, Christian wars" and that government run health coverage is unnecessary because church-affiliated hospitals will still care for people without coverage.

  • I don't agree with Ron Paul across the board but I agree with Ron Paul more then I agree with anyone else running. I also agree with him much more then I disagree with him. If I'm not mistaken Ron Paul is personally against abortion but politically he only against government sanction of abortion which is very different. BTW all of this goes out the window if he turns out to be just another lying politician, only time will tell.

  • (cont.) really care for the guy but his internet activity likely wasn't hindering his ability to do his job as a congressman and so it shouldn't have been so blown out of proportion. Personally I don't care what a person does in private so long as it doesn't physically harm, endanger, or take from another without consent. The reason I like Ron Paul is because he understands individual liberty better than any other politician out there and while I do not agree with him sometimes, I usually do.

  • Well said. Though god isn't necessarily the property of christianity or religion. I am agnostic, but I believe that the existence of a god is most likely true. Whether god is a sentient being or some soul-less source of creation is something we will never know unless it wants us to know (if it is indeed sentient).

But on your main point I totally agree. I was pretty irritated with the public and our politicians when Anthony Weiner was bashed by the media until he resigned. I don't ...

  • I want to see some of your digital painting. :O

  • Wow, you have such a voice, you should become a voice actress and play the sexy AI on a spaceship

  • @TotalAnomy Oh man I would LOVE that. A Mass Effect 2 or Deus Ex: Human Revolution style AI -- Someone hire me, please! ;D

  • He is highly religious, but he doesn't believe in implementing his personal beliefs into law, because he believes in personal freedom

  • Reminds me of the movie Paul when the Alien utters: "This is America. Kidnapping a Christian is worse than harboring a fugitive!" LOL!

  • @concussedcarneous down boy!

  • You are a great speaker... Professional annunciation and cadence.

  • Very well said.

  • I don't care what you say, I am going to vote for Ron Paul!

  • @TacticalSoleSurvivor And you absolutely should! :D

  • AMEN secular sista, to your very nuanced parsing of a very complex issue in a soundbite world!

Mainly I go w/ the "interventionist" argument. As the False L vs.R paradigm RulingClass are equally interventionist in all matters both private/public & domestic/foreign.

I'm still looking for liberals in 21st Century who actually still understand their hippie parents' understanding that when ACLU defends a NeoNazi's 1stAmd. they do so based in defense of PRINCIPLE/NaturalRight, but NOT condone it.

  • @RosenKrantz666 One has to go back to Voltaire to find such a defender of natural rights, really. And shouldn't one always go back to Voltaire? ;)

  • @wstolyarov When in doubt 'go Voltaire!' is what I always say. lol!

Though, I'm partial to Bastiat. Hm... been trying to figure out whether I ran into his work before, or after finding out about the now deceased artist Bastiat. Web of my own neural mystery I tell ya. It's an AnCap jungle up there!
