Because B16's are slow.. They can't even keep up with 1975 - 1977 vette's that have under 200hp, why would anyone want that in a corvette? And who cares about gas millage, if you're buying a corvette chance's are it isn't going to be your daily driver. Shit I'd be broke if I drove my 1980 454 2x4bbl corvette (Yes I did swap the 350)
If you did put a b16 in Corvette people would think you're weird. Also, if I honestly wanted a fuel efficient vette, I'd use a 5,0L 305 or keep the stock 350..
man, it shoulda fired in 2 revolutions, put 2.5 oz. fuel down the vent tube, set dist.rotor dead on #1post on cap, rotate approx. 3/8 in. counterclockwise, youll be at or around 8deg. btdc, pump gas 5 times, fires immediately-guarantee it! provided your not 180 deg out,or plug wires are routed wrong, not being critical, just sharing 25 yrs exp. nice job
dude check your timing if you changed the cam change your timing

There's nothing like a Frosty Beige to make your day.
Between having a fine Vette and a fine Bucket, life is good. Awesome job Al
