The three Bosniaks taken in account were working for Dutchbat so I'm assuming that's why it was recognized by the court. I hope others come forward and get some sort of justice, for all 8000+

@shahideurope even though that was a complete different sort of war (one in where the truth wasn't blurred by a ton of different stories, mixed with the media, influencing the whole thing and taking most of the stories even further away from what really happened) I'd still take the effort to listen to all sides. One big difference between those two situations, is that the truth has already been proven behind the Holocaust. Something which we can't say of the Sebreniça massacre.

Most of the people killed during these raids ( Naser Oric's gang ) were VRS soldiers ( mostly reservists ) unfortunately some civilias were killed too. These raids were intended not to liberate the enclave but to replanishing Srebrenica of stolen goods in the black market. This is a town where everything was needed and people were dying from artillery attacks.
Oric was able to launch these attacks into rs territories because of the inefficiency of the un which didn't even have enough oil to patrol the enclave ( half of oil ,medicine and food supplies of the un dutch convoys were regularly confiscated by VRS authorities as payment for passing through their territory) leaving dutchbat with very little for themselves.Blaming the muslims and understanding the serbs to justify this disaster called genocide only shows me that you do not know anything

@aartyo Don't forget the UN. The UN sent no support to these guys. They were even low on ammo, with very few heavy weapons. In the US Army it doesn't matter who is shooting at you, you ALWAYS have the right to defend youself.

@shahideurope even though that was a complete different sort of war (one in where the truth wasn't blurred by a ton of different stories, mixed with the media, influencing the whole thing and taking most of the stories even further away from what really happened) I'd still take the effort to listen to all sides. One big difference between those two situations, is that the truth has already been proven behind the Holocaust. Something which we can't say of the Sebreniça massacre.

@shahideurope but nonetheless I will never judge it when a Bosnian person, living in Srebreniça has that view on the whole situation (Or anyone that lost someone dear during that massacre).
The one thing that is real in that situation, is the people that died during that massacre, and the loss of the people that were left behind. (I was under the impression that it were a whole lot more than 8,000)

Netherlands and Serbia are friends, people look to closely to one side of the story.
Muslims did terrible things to Serbs, they had a right to defend themself.
Dutchbat couldnt do anything to protect those muslims because it was not armed to do so, its not the faulth of the dutch soldiers or the dutch government, its the UN that made mistakes.

@salamanderjood you are wrong and completely dissinformed, the killing that you are referring to is Kravica and surrounding villages . Most of the people killed during these raids ( Naser Oric's gang ) were VRS soldiers ( mostly reservists ) unfortunately some civilias were killed too. These raids were intended not to liberate the enclave but to replanishing Srebrenica of stolen goods in the black market. This is a town where everything was needed and people were dying from artillery attacks.

Oric was able to launch these attacks into rs territories because of the inefficiency of the un which didn't even have enough oil to patrol the enclave ( half of oil ,medicine and food supplies of the un dutch convoys were regularly confiscated by VRS authorities as payment for passing through their territory) leaving dutchbat with very little for themselves.Blaming the muslims and understanding the serbs to justify this disaster called genocide only shows me that you do not know anything

I was kid there during the war.. I was fifteen when i left the potocari camp... The most thing i hated about the dutch were their lausy black t-shirts about a kid asking for candy their wrods were: "NO BONBON!"
