  • I can't believe you would use a grave stone to plug your site. You must be a real class act. You deploreable prick.

  • Comment removed

  • If you wanted to plug your site why didn't you just hold up the goddamn card, instead of putting it on his grave asswipe.

  • BTW, the rusty can was a can of oyster soup. Been making trips there since 2003 and I remember with it had a label.

  • And omgaw, where did you get that doll?!?! So cuuuute!

  • The Horwitz graves in front of Curly's are Moe, Shemp and Curly's parents.

  • Legend

  • Curly gracias por existir y por hacernos reir a todos.. dios te bendiga siempre.. :)

  • And it can be hard to say goodbye when u know the persons really well and they die but R.I.P curly thxs for all the laughter and u will be in everyone haert

  • God bless Curly, Moe, Larry, and the others who made suck wonderful comedies. When one thinks of how much they gave and how little money they probably made, we truly have to thank them for their heart and talents . Rest in peace

  • One of the funniest men to have every walked on earth.

  • @quarterstaff33

Cointinly !!! He was more than just a "victim of coicumstance" !!! :-)

  • He should have a crypt.

  • O.K. everyone. Let's give a hearty NYUK, NYUK, NYUK!

  • Visiting his gravesite was one of the best 'anniversary presents' my wife could do for me, it was a complete surprise. As he was my hero and favorite, in my life we'll never have another comedic genius such as him.

  • grande curly!!!

  • such a great clown, the greatest, and give Shemp some credit, he had to come back and fill some big shoes. thanks to this magic we call film.. ( yes im old thats what they used, kids) the Boys will live for ever, remember to show your kids and when you're old, like i am... the grandkids, "pick out 2"... but remember the 'MOE' block!

  • Thanks for posting this---I miss Curly every day until I watch him. At least in my mind!

  • Should engrave "Trying to think but nothing happens!"

  • I've been there in 1998 ....all the way from Australia to visit him and Shemp too. What a comic genius and a gentleman RIP Curly

  • Wait i thought curlys real name was curtis horwitz

  • @360guitarfreak nope he was born jerome lester horwitz. curly was his stage name as was howard

  • @stars1976 oh ok thanks

  • amazing genius iconic comedian

  • Its not who of the stooges were the greatest, it was all of them besides The marx bros to Buster Keaton and everyone who began an age of Comedy in the 20's and 30's. Thank you guys!! RIP

  • appreciate this video because I went there in 1990, way before digital cameras, etc. Curly's parents, I believe, are also nearby.

  • @TCC309 Even better than 'nearby'. The cameraman is actually standing on the side-by-side graves of Curly's parents as he films this. At 0:38 you can see HORWITZ headstone for Curly's parents. From at least 0:38 until 0:48 (when the 'scene' changes), the cameraman is standing on top of the graves of Curly's parents. After that (0:49 and on), he may have moved to the 'Curly' side of the parents' headstone. @death2ur, thanks for posting this.

  • Gosh, If he could come back here and realize what an impact he has on all of us.

When someone asks who would be my dream dinner guests it would be

Moe, Larry , and Curly. We would never make it to dessert because a pie

fight would ensue......Man, Curly was the best, Immortal.

  • i loved the three stoges and like a lot of people curley was my favorite that is why when my wife had surgery in tulsa for a cancer that did not exist and spent three months in a coma becouse of an infection from the surgery i needed a laugh and turned to their kind of humer and wrote a book it is called the old rider by j s stroud and is being sold at amazon. com i guess you could say treir still influncing my life and i hope they arestill influncing others see msbones 1950 a slow death

  • Yeah! The most greatest of the three!

  • I swear I thought I was gonna start crying for just a second as I looked at Curly's grave. I really do love The Three Stooges. They were such a steady part of my life, especially all throughout my childhood. The world sucks bad enough, but especially without any of them being here anymore.

  • R.I.P curly. we all miss you! :*(

  • GENIO Y FIGURA DE ESTA SERIE TAN CONOCIDA EN TODO EL MUNDO CURLY POR SIEMPRE

  • I love you curly.

  • I grew up a few blocks away but didn't even know he was buried there until I moved. If I had known, I would have visited. Boyle Heights was once a largely populated Jewish community. Curly was from Brooklyn but I guess he wanted to be buried in Home of peace.

  • Did You Really Put An Advertisment On His Grave?

  • Jerome Howard, also known to millions as Curly. The funniest man that ever lived.

  • I did not do any research, this is the closest I ever got to knowing the real them

  • soowtinlee!

  • this is so sad

  • @Dablkwid0w2008 curly was the silliest but funniest wacky stooge there is i loved him but i heard his background was so sad is that true anybody ?

  • Curly was the best ever!

  • I Still LOVE The Stooges no matter how many times I watch them!

  • nice video. the three stooges are such a mystery to me. i've seen interviews withLarry Fine and Moe. but i can't find any of Curly.

  • ינוח בשלום על משכבו ג 'רום (קרלי), אני אוהבת אותך

  • So umm,.. he's still dead is he? Damn. ;(

  • @Ghstwn RISE< ZOMBIE CURLY!

  • RIP Curly :( <3

  • the best stooge ever!

  • I was a victim of sowcumstance!!!!!

  • RIP Curly. The Three Stooges are hilarious.

  • If I was there I would stand on his grave and have someone say Curly's body is right in the exact spot where you are standing. Then I would jump 10 feet in the air and land in another spot. In his memory.

  • @oldclips a 1000 points to you for that killer reference :)

  • i'll never forget the episode where they make beer to sell during prohibition

    CLASSIC

  • thank you for making me laugh.....

  • Shalom and amen. Thank you for more laughs than I can think of.

  • The greatest comedian who ever lived.

  • Curly Howard was, and will always be the most talented master of slapstick the world has ever seen. BTW: the things people leave on the grave are hilarious. You have to be a Stooges fan to place some of them. Curly is looking down smiling.

  • only 49 when he died he died so young LOVE the stooges

  • @JaimeLe50s He was even younger than that, he was only 48.

  • Leaving an ad for "Death2Ur". Goddamn. Jerome Howard was disrespected in life, and now disrespected in death. Whomever put that there might find out about Karma, hopefully. Y'ought to be ashamed.

  • @laurierken I agree with you laurierken. That was absolutely classless.

  • My Favorite Stooge, RIP Curly ! Thanks for Posting

  • There's a kind of sad finality to it, isn't there?

  • @kurtb8474 He lives on in film for the rest of the world to see. That is more than most people will be remembered for. Death is common, worldwide fame for many years is not. He left a magnificent legacy.

  • @MrJim12341121 Well said.

  • Is this only a jewish cemetery?

  • where is Larry Fine buried?

  • I love to see people leave things I think it so sweet

  • WOW there it is ! Jerome Howard.

  • he wiill be missed thanx u curley. hear o'israeal the lord our god the lord is one amen

  • We all love you curly rest in piece and when I come up there we can make are own funny stuff nyuck nyuck!

  • The gravesite of one of America's truly funny men.... Wish you could've done more Stooge shorts for us 'Curly'.... RIP brother....

  • Never new he was Jewish thats a cool fact.

  • what was the reason for all the odd bits and pieces on the grave (a brush, a tin can, etc)?

  • isn't bad luck to walk over someone's grave? especually if you didn't really know them?

  • you forgot to mention curly moes and shemps parents right in front of curlys grave

  • Rest in Peace Curly thanks for the laughs

  • curly actually died while filming he had a stroke and they kept on :(

  • @grem700

Curly had a stroke on set, but he died years later. Wikipedia has a reasonable biography.

  • The grave in front of Curly's grave is his Parents grave Jenny & Solomon Horwitz.

  • i grew up watching the three stooges and curly was my favorite stooge im happy to see that people could record where they where buried so one day i can go see their graves for myself death2ur thank you for recording these vids makes me happy knowing there are still fans out there. My only regret was that i wasnt born back in that time so i can meet them in person but i am happy that they still air there shows on amc channel 890 brings me joy watching them all over again

  • something very errey about this very quiet wind blowing,im glad they made the trip and im benefiting from the video

  • I thought it was funny that the TV Biopic movie about the Three Stooges shows Shemps and Curlys gravesites side by side even though Moe, and Shemp were in seperate Mossoliums and Curly is in a cemetary...

Oooooohhhh Wizeguy Eh? Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk. RIP Jerome "Curly" Howard. My favorite out of all the stooges

  • @soultheinterrogator The movie that had Michael Chiklis as Curly? One thing I also found odd was that the guys playing Moe and Larry in their later years, didn't look like they aged any.

That was a bit of continuity faux pax there-- in the scene on the beach where they were talking about their 60's TV show, would have had both Moe and Larry in their 70's. Come to think of it though, they never get old anyway, they're STILL funny!

  • It is really sad curly died way to young. I know one day i will get to meet all 6 of the stooges one day.

  • NO YOU WON'T!

  • @hislipsaremoving keep your nasty comments to your self! I do not know who the heck u think u are and quite fankly i could care less who you are but u never leave comments about not believeing in god. I hope u will burn in hell for this

  • @stars1976 RAGE RAGE RAGE RAGE RAGE RAGE

  • @hislipsaremoving keep your nasty comments to your self! I do not know who the heck u think u are and quite fankly i could care less who you are but u never leave comments about not believeing in god. I hope u will burn in hell for this

  • I'll be out in LA with my daughter in mid-April specifically to visit Curlys grave. It's on my bucket list. Long live Curley,Moe, Larry Shemp.

  • leave a can of oyster stew for me - god bless....

  • That's a great idea! I wish I could find the hat Curley had on his head with the tastles on the side. I'd leave that there as well. Curly's parents ans Shemp are in the same cemetary. I'll be heading there too. I'll leave a can of Oyster stew for you.

  • @fiddlerfart

And, we need a can o' peas and one loaf of bread, well-soaked. And let's not forget to top it off with a dash of baking powder....DASH! :-)

  • Yes! Don't forget to spike the punch well ( " the rum went through this on stilts"), and some pate de fois gras! Please give me a shout when you get back - love to hear what you thought...

  • Ooooo, a toot-sie froot-sie, nyuk nyuk nyuk (from An Ache In Every Stake during the classic punchbowl scene) ;-)

I'm back and I think we have a deal..spiked punch and pate do fois grass, coming right up, good one, mate!

  • @billyfc3 you can also visit shemps grave he is in the mausoleum in the same cemetery as his brother curly.

  • Children do not belong in a cemetery.

  • God Bless!

  • You were the funniest stooge, Curly. R.I.P.

  • curly was the best...thank you so much :)

  • God bless Curly... RIP.

  • Thanks for sharing this.

  • Is that Evergreen Cemetery in East L.A.??

  • @tearbear60 no, it's "Home Of Peace" Cemetery but yes it is in East L.A.

  • Is this the cemetery where famous LA families are buried? I mean like the families who have streets named after them?

  • I'm not sure. All I know is that it is a Jewish cemetery.

  • why he wasent buried next to moe and shemp its strange

  • May God bless and watch over him. He made the world a better place!

  • That Horwitz might've been a relative. The Horwitz boys changed their name to Howard, for show biz.

  • The family name was actually Gurwitz, then Horwitz (Irving was the only brother who kept this name).

  • If you know that, you know more than I do, friend.

  • @WanagiAkicita, Shemp is also buried in this cemetery, too. Curly went through three marriages (plus one that was annulled by the Howard brothers' mother), and sadly, the first (and youngest) of the Three Stooges to die, age 48.

  • REST IN PEACE CURLY!! WE ALL LOVE YOU!!

  • rest in peace curly

  • RIP Curly!!

  • Happy Birthday Curly!

  • judios

  • هل هم تحت الرحمة أم تحت العذاب ؟

    الرب يعلم مصيرهم.

  • What does the writing say?

  • the night before my cancer surgery,i watched my dvd filled with nothing but curly episodes, i was still laughing on the table the next day, thank you curly...

  • Interestingly the Howard Brothers' father, like the Marx Brothers' father, was a tailor, had a biblical name that started with the same letter (S), and both appeared in their sons movies (The Marx Brothers' Frenchy in "Monkey Business", Solomon in "Disorder In The Court"). And yes, there were five Howard Brothers, though two weren't in show business (Jack and Irving). On an ironic note, one of the Howard Brothers' cousins had the last name of Marx!

  • On their funniest day, the Marx Bros weren't even close to being as funny as The Stooges. And I say this as one who appreciates Groucho on Bros.

  • Considering that Curly couldn't take care of himself, he came off more like Moe's "Chico".

  • The Three Stooges will remain the best comedy ever. Think about it. Millions upon millions of people laughed and cried with these three talented human beings. The brought laughter to all of us and all of it done without uttering any obscenities or showing nudity.

  • the stooges are one group who always make me lol. Ive been watching them my entire life and I'm 40 now. there will NEVER be anything else like them

  • @mart6992 I trillionth that. I own copies of all eight volumes of The Three Stooges shorts.

  • @Glockfan2008 I don't have enough thumbs to agree with your statement, esp. on the obscenity and nudity. Although, there were some thinly veiled statements and references sometimes, but they were done very classy, lol. 70-some years later, and their comedies haven't diminished in comic value, and that places them among the greats.

  • @Glockfan2008 with out showing some ones butt or introducing a huge huge character that farts or making sexual jokes like she gained weight i like that or anything like you lookin down i saw you lookin down.

  • curly was just gone way too soon :(

  • @deathcauser1104 i agree to me he was the best stooge may them all rest in peace

  • no1 can replace the three stooges they were the bomb and r keep probiliy making the angels laugh alot

  • Love the Stooges. Especially Curly, but a question. No disrespect to our Jewish freinds, but why are Jewish cemetarys so awful? Always paved over like that with tombstones crammed together. I've always seen these Jewish graveyards that look like this. Is there a reason for it? Just curious.

  • RIP Curly , The funniest human being I've ever had the privilege to watch.

  • now jim carrey will represent him lol

  • He really was the best.

    RIP

  • Muito bom...agradeço pelo video...poder ver onde Curly está...emocionante...

  • One of the great slapstick comics of ALL TIME....

  • Damn. They are packed in there like sardines.

  • I believe that is because they was Jewish and I think, that they are buried standing up. but I am not real sure on the Jewish faith on that.

  • @korleonis As a member of the Jewish faith I can assure you that Jewish people are definitely NOT buried standing up. They are buried laying down like everyone else. Please don't make comments when you don't know what you are talking about. And the proper grammar would be "they WERE Jewish" NOT "They WAS Jewish".

  • @mk1505 Did you miss the part "but I am not real sure on the Jewish faith on that." So... what you're saying if if someone is not sure about something they should never say anything to learn, even if it's from a dickhead like you. since you are the first Jewish person I have had contact with I will assume that all people are Jewish faith are not like you.

  • rip curly one of the greatest

  • RIP curly...

    ...the BEST sooge of all

  • stupid question on my part but whats on top of the graves? did they concert the top of graves?

  • Isnt this in West LA, not East LA? Shemp and Moe are at Hillside memorial in West LA, in Culver City, I believe, but I was unable to find the graves.

  • Hi cathysloper -

This cemetery is in East LA. Curly & Shemp are in East LA, Moe is the one buried in Culver City, and Larry is in Glendale.

  • Died at just 49. sad for him :( I am saying a prayer for Curly now. I wish he haunted a building somewhere close to me like The Cashtown Inn near Gettysburg, PA. .

  • Could you hear him going "woo woo woo woo woo" from under the ground ?

  • It's too bad that the brothers & Larry are in different places. You would think that because of their fame they would be together at Woodside. Or at least have the brothers near each other in this cemetery because they are same family. Moe is in the celebrity memorial park and the brothers & Larry are in regular one. Seems not right.

  • Ive loved the Stooges as long as I can remember. Seeing their eternal resting spot really makes me feel awesome. When this life's done, I'm gonna hug these knuckleheads and laugh at their silly asses forever!

  • I think that you inadvertantly showed a bit of their parents headstone. See "Horwitz" near the beginning-their real surname.

  • curly, moe, shemp are really brothers , rip boys, and larry cant 4 get bout you 2 .lmao i bet gods rolling around up their in heaven with yall:), see ya one day up their boys:)

  • Curly was a titan of comedy. He made the world a better place. Peace!

  • How long does it take you to find the Gravesites of these famous people?

  • It all depends on how good our directions are and how complicated the cemetery is. Curly's took about 45 minutes because it is a confusing and crowed cemeteries. We have spent as much as 2 hours and as little as a few minutes.

  • @death2ur why are the hebrew words written at the top of his tomb stomb

  • @TheDoglover777 the stooges were all of the Jewish faith. (except for joe besser)

  • were those medicine bottles at :57?

  • google "yertzite candles"

  • have you done a peice on Larry Fine's grave cite?

  • When we visited Larry's grave for some reason we forgot to video tape it. We do have photos on our website, though.

  • Shemp also is at this Place of Rest.

and His Mother and Father are there too.

Many Famous Movie People are there.

  • You mean The Death 2ur?

  • I thought that's really low spamming the mans resting place with your advertisement.

    Whats wrong with you?

  • You may be right. We haven't left a calling card at a grave since.

  • Otherwise, it was great, very interesting and sad. Thank you for posting.
