Great voice. ok it's definitely not 'crap', it just sounds a little too much like a busker's version. I think it would be nice if you could use the original tuning, or possibly do something a little more interesting with the strumming or throw in some picking...
This is a great cover. I can't believe that this has dislikes. This is just what a cover should be. I hear originality as well as details that Kristian uses. Also, you totally served @hmbrt21
Why would he sing north pole? he´s from sweden, so it would make more sense that he sings north folks? Dont understand why he would sing north pole haha
@hmbrt21 I've seen Kristian Maatson play this live...so yes...I have "heard the song". Thank your for that clever and insightful comment about my version. I implore you to watch some of my other videos and use your rapier like wit to offer the same amazing constructive criticism. I believe your what the Brits would call "a bloody wanker."
@jonascanfly This site says it's "Noth folk" but you're right, I also found one that say North Pole. Until we meet Kristian Matsson, I guess we'll never know..
really good job, but make sure you're getting the words right, like "i never knew i was a lover, "i am a native of the north folk, and i could mess up any kid"
@backyshelfsniper I'm pretty sure it actually is "I am a native of the north pole, and that could mess up any kid." Sorry mate, not trying to be rude.
I do not know how you don't kill your thumb by strumming like that, but if that's how you feel comfortable then go for it.
As for the performance, I thought it was good but lacked energy somewhat. But then again you were probably going for a laid back kind of thing so no worries. The main point is you did your own thing.
Hey man! nevermind the haters.. I thought this was a sweet rendition :) very folky = I like!
Check mine out if you want to! I'll be uploading some Tallest man songs this week as Kristians hometown is like 70km from my hometown :) Cheers man

@hmbrt21 Thats why they call it a "cover", jerkass. You take the original and you make it you own.
