im sat here with my16yr olddaughter and i was just telling her that i was there on my px125efl reg numbrc126anb when at 2.05 i spotted the salford knights plaque on gatz (steve gartside) scooter a300gja.
Its easy to forget how big some of these rallies were.I was at isle of wight in 85 and 86 I was told there were at least 10,000 scooters there in 1986.Mine was a white px 125. Just done cbt at 40 years old and looking for a Lambretta now.
great film footage. my boyfriend{red lion sc } sneaked off while i was asleep to go without me . lol . it was ok though cos i just went to the nighter with my mates. great being young in the 80s.

Got a lift with a nutty German bloke in an Opel Manta....he did a U turn on the se front and wiped a scooter out...I almost got lynched 'cos i was sat in the front but was a left hand drive. On another sad note I think that was the year a lad from down here (Teignmouth) was killed on his way to Morecambe. Still remembered despite the passage of time. Cheers all.
Quality's good for it's age. Brings back plenty of memories. I had to go on the back of a mates scooter after my Rally was totalled in a disagreement with a Capri....
I'm sure this was the rally in which there was a 'mini riot' at the all nighter on the pier! Excellent rally though! Remember the pub on the front across from the clock tower, and pints of Strongbow for 40p! Oh to be able to turn back the clock!

Thats when Scooter Rallies were at their best. Thanks for filming and uploading. Bought back some fun memories
