@baldiloxbaldilox Halford can't hit high notes anymore without killing his voice, but hey, he was a God for decades....But the reason JA's voice is in such good shape is his voice hasn't been ravaged by the time during insane amounts of touring. Which is the number 1 cause of voice degradation, especially in Rock. So, while I'm sure he sang here and there doing his own thing, he didn't do it professionally. And that actually makes this a plus in terms of his sick range.
both Arch and Alder brought a strong vocal presence to Fates Warning. Night on Broken thru Perfect Symmetry are all seminal to the band, and all possess classic tracks that reflect a strong progression of sound.
That having been said, Arch's voice on this is every bit as strong as it's ever been, possibly stronger. Anything Matheos and arch put together will be awesome. I'm just sad it took this long for us to hear from him.

John arch. the original vocal acrobat!! fates warning should bring him back. their other singer has pretty much blown his voice out. if you watch some of their more recent live videos. you will see exactly what i mean. i could never get tired of listenening to john arch. thanks for posting these great songs.

John's legend is perpetuated by his "firing" and absence from the music scene. Almost every single European Black/Death Metal band attributes John Arch as their inspiration.
Then check out the cd's of Dominici. That was mine "WTF moment" lol...
Dominici was the old singer of Dream Theater's first cd "When Day and Dream Unite". He now has 3 cd's out on the market. Check the last 2, the first was an accoustic recording.

It sounds like he was in a time capsule for all those years and came out for this recording as good as ever! No respect to Ray Alder but THIS is what I wish FW had sounded like throughout the late 80's-90's
John Arch sounds amazing! Just like on first Fates Warning albums, and he is not that young anymore. James Labrie can't pull off some songs anymore, but this guy... just awesome.
