Damn...I am glad this is still generating comments after almost 2 years!!
Dylan is prolly the greatest lyricist that ever lived....when I said "Rap"...I meant no disrespect to anyone...but hey, I can see Snoop doing "Just like a Woman" (with a few minor word changes!! haha)
Okay...Chuck Berry did this kind of spoken word flow on "Too Much Monkey Business" If were we to call the great Bob Dylan rap, at least call him the first white rappers.
It's rather sad that when people say "rap", all some of you can think is Dre, Eminem and 50 Cent. Read Ginsberg. Read Kerouac. The term "rap" has been around an awful lot longer than some ex-drug-pushing homie with dreadlocks, and it doesn't necessarily mean gangsta.
Tom Wolfe described Neil Cassady as "rapping" whenever he would go off on rants like this. Are you going to argue with Tom Wolfe, one of the greatest writers of the twentieth century?
For your info...dumbass...I am not a "Goon", but a HUGE Dylan Fan...who was just making a joke with words...I think Bob could appreiciate that...but not you, I guess-- BTW... I been listening to him, and seeing him live since he was new-- Peace--
makes lady gaga look like a plain plain musician.

Everyone who says 'thios isn't rap' should probably look up the definition of rap before they post a comment saying this isn't rap.

Bob Dylan.... rap? Hah. Hah hah. Hah hah, hah hah hah, hah hah.
Compare freaking Kanye West to Bob Dylan. Bob Dylan wrote clever, meaningful songs. Rappers grunt and superimpose their faces over jiggling asses.

How not? It rhymes. It's lyric based. It's not gangsta rap, but it's rap.
