well as crap as this is i used foil to help boost my signal on my laptop, i scotch taped 4 sheets of foil on the backside of my laptop screen n pointed it 2ward the room that my interent is coming from n btw i h8 att w/ this method i was able to increase my signal by 25% but at wierd angles it was better then no internet at all its sad when this method picks up my nieghbors wifi better then my own >.< F U AT&T! NEVER AGAIN!

Yeah, no. Aluminum foil will reflect the signal, not amplify it. Sorry. All antennae require an exact length to recieve the signal, because its on a certain wavelength.... just adding foil to the back does not "Gather the signal", it simply will reflect it away from it, if anything.
