down. the 3-sided irregular forms are only spinning in one direction, if you think you're seeing it going up, it's because your brain is being tricked by the slightly different angles of the dice. If you watch the apex of the 3 sides, you'll lose it if you think they're rotating upwards.

They rotate downward from this perspective, they are just 3 sides with the concave walls textured to look like the outsides. By the time you see it rotating upwards, it's actually the concave side of the object that you see, but its all the same direction.

@MissDanDona Its takes a while to see it, but if it were a full cube it would be easy to tell which way it were rotating infact it couldn't possible be an optical illusion. Try staring at the Five end for a while, you may see the dice make their Transitions every half a cycle, also think of it as broken 3-D or 'Kind of see through' Dice.

If you still dont understand, follow the five on the fist dice, it appears to go down uncer, but then seems to come up from the side, then you should realise by looking at that the dice is now spinning up, and then it will spin down again ^.^
