Julie, I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my brother, because they thought he was homeless and had no insurance. They put a pacemaker in him. He complained afterward of not feeling well. Pacemaker was broken. They opened him back up and fixed it with glue and silicone. It is noted in his file that he did not feel well 2 days after that surgery, and hours after his escort, in a wheel chair by two officers, and blood on the paper work they gave him, he was dead.

Healthcare reform, should mean more primary care physicians, less catscans(expensive crap which is unnecessary 99% of the time). Use that money instead to have more doctor time with patient, cheaper medications(negotiated by the government, not by the open market), and government managed Universal healthcare. It's not perfect, but it is alot better than what we have at present.
