Just a suggestion before you leave your house everyday spend a few minutes and say a prayer of protection and imagine yourself in the white light of positivity so that you aren't attracting the negativity.
I don't think it's necessarily that there are more crazy ppl in seoul, korea in proportion to the population, it's just that in korea you use more public transportation and therefore the probability of you running into crazy folks goes up. In america we drive around more than use public transportation. That and the fact that seoul is the 2nd largest city in the world doesn't help too (the more ppl there are the chances of more crazy ppl being around). Take care, stay safe.
I agree, here in the U.S., when I sold my car and moved to a larger city, I started running into more drunk/crazy people than I did when I drove everywhere.
That story is crazy I would be so upset about the dipping dots as well. It's like having one last bite of a sandwich and then you accidentally drop it on the floor---your mouth is still watering for that last piece lol. Is there like a hospital over there?
@charlycheer wow...u're 4th time bumping into crazy ppl..good to know you're safe. but seriously watch out for the crazy folks & don't go alone to a man's house without u'r friends. have u heard about the american teacher in japan who was killed by her student who invited her to his house. that is totally creepy...being a girl, a foreign one at that, you're obviously gonna really stand out to the creeps. so be safe!!!!!!
@charlycheer check out "Murderer -Plastic Surgery on himself" on TYT(channel on youtube). he raped her before he killed her and was missing for a year until a plastic surgeon's office called the cops on him. he was trying to alter his facial features cuz he was paranoid about being caught/recognized by the public & the cops.
i lived in seoul last year and there are crazy ppl the like that 10th degree i am black too and they used to try and talk to me. and i was kissed to by a drunk guy... in front of my dorm
@ExtendedStudent4Real yess!!! I need that...but by the time I would have searched for it in my purse I would have kicked him in the balls like 3 times then finally found the mase haha...Im gonna get my best friend to send me some :)
BTW, in some countries it is illegal for average civilians to carry mase/pepper spray, so find out first whether it’s okay in Korea. Wouldn’t want you to get in trouble.
Your story reminds me of the crazy guy I met in the subways in LA. >.< He was foaming at the mouth, mumbling gibberish and running at me. I was thinking, omg, is he OD-ing on drugs or something?! I turned away after I was convinced he was foaming for non drug reasons and he started chasing me. O.o Ran up the stairs and he chased me still. He finally gave up but I am not planning on going back to the subways that late at night again. Super creepy.
man that's crazy! im glad someone came to grab you. i would try and help someone too. anyway have you asked you friends if this is a common thing for korean citizens to experience? i know in my town here I've been approached by mentally disabled, homeless drunkards or just plain crusty. but i've never been grabbed. In the kdramas i often see that men just grab the women sometimes and lead them where they want. not dangerous but more authoritative manner. is korea a patriarchal country?
I also noticed that when you are being harassed or abused in Korean public you can just shout out help, pervert, pedophile, thief or what ever to get the crowd's attention and usually people come to your rescue. That's just what I heard.
OMG thank goodness u r alright. That story was scary. I really don't like being around crazy people because the are so unpredictable I couldn't imagine if one of them grabbed me. I would probably black out and go crazy on them....I hope that never happens to me crazy or not.
The pharmacist obviously knew who the guy was. Did u ask the pharmacist to find out the story about the jerk ? I'm glad the druggist was there to back u up. . Keep it up, Babe :)
Oh, I love "What would you do"? with jonh quinones...It's heartwarming to know that there are good people in the world that you can count on, but its also scary to know that there are lots of people who will just walk right by if you need help. Did you see that one about the pedophile trying to pick up a kid from the park? Like, so many people didn't do anything to stop him :(
That's a normal story in korea. I heard that happens to other women sometimes. One girl experienced a random guy showing her his bloody finger with a nail in it. The pharmacist may have a thing for you. He watches you everyday going to work.. lol.
wow, this is like the third time ive heard something like this from a black female living in Korea.whoa.0.0
