you know... i wonder what will come of city of heroes when dc universe kicks into gear. i will always be a fan of city of heroes and hope it continues on.
@Wolvenchaos It will be very hard for DC to draw away an established playerbase from their beloved characters unless CoH bungles something serverely like Star Wars Galaxies or the like. Knowing their leadership, I doubt that will happen.
@jrm523 It's where the money is at. In an aging game like CoH, they have to generate extra revenue. That said, they did add staff to create new content such as these, which people generally want.
@rcljr328 Issue 19 is an update not a booster pack. We get two auras. One of which is a firefly aura. Not really good for my heroes/villains/Praetorains.

This is an addition... major patch updates are for fixing bugs. @TheGLFilms shoudl understand they have multiple teams that work on the game... and this team doesnt fix bugs... they add customization tools...which we love.
i wish the developers would stop making all this pointless crap like costume pieces and emotes and work on the bugs and disadvantages in the game like they are suppost to! money grubbing dick holes just trying to make as much as they can until DCU online comes out and runs this messed up game out of business
:P Champions Online ain't as perfect as you think it is. Balancing issues are still current within it, tons of bugs to be found, and they pretty much sell you more costume pieces than CoH/CoV does. They can be considered more money-grubbing than CoH/CoV.
The only difference is, CO is newer. The majority of people are acting like bug-testers and constantly giving feedback. In CoV/CoH, people would prefer new content rather than fixing old ones they already passed.
"Disadvantages" are based on the opinions of the majority of people... and most people would rather that the advantages/disadvantages stay as they are. I don't like it as much as you do, but if that's what the populace wants, that's what they get.
- Bugs are constantly worked on in CoH/CoV, but it's impossible to get rid of all of them since there's so much variables in each mission/action/power. With each new item they add, more demand is put on fixing certain bugs than other ones.
It will have the same problems CoV/CoH and CO have. And considering the fact that they are marketing popular characters: Expect to pay for extra content featuring items and powers from these DC heroes/villains.

Actually, the mutation's bio-plasma is a much thicker flame than fiery aura's, and the toxic vapor acts like the smoldering/smoking but more flame-like than gas-like. Turn it into a different color and you'll see a noticeable difference.
It's a slight change, but it can make all the difference when put with the right costume. I know the bio-plasma will please a friend of mine, she always wanted a thicker flame to go with her costume.
Glad I got out of this game when I did. I had been playing it since day one, but I just can't stand how these guys started nickle and dimming the costumes.
