  • Accurate foot work and Straight centering good

  • jumping up that high with such balance and speed was depressive, or did he use trampoline? this guy can dunk:-)

  • the pole walking was the easy part,

  • Excellent "dismount" off there! Wow! 10.0 by my standards!

  • thanks for posting this.

  • Okay. I am officially "Fweakin' Impressed!" with this.

I don't know what form he is practicing, but it looks like something from Cheng Tinghua's lineage.

  • @mbutchin hi, it is "XUEN SHEN BAGUAZHANG" our first Form after the 8 Qi Gong Palms. It is very close to Cheng and also Liang Style Bagua. Greetings Ismet

  • @youlihan Thank you for that information. I have just begun to learn Sun Zhijun's Lian Huan Zhang set-- I enjoy looking at the different bagua styles, trying to trace their development. I had thought there were distinct differences between the Beijing styles, the Wudang styles, and the Emei styles. I see I was probably wrong, now.

PS- I've really been enjoying the vids of your lectures on Wudang sword technique.

  • Thank you for showing this. I am very glad to have seen it. It was great.

  • That was pretty tight, I've never seen Bagua done on poles before

  • bagua is not all about fighting..In fact martial arts is not all about fighting doe doe head..martial arts is about training ones body, spirit and mind to uterlize it in all type of situations. And to tell you the truth i don't see that much acrobatics in Bagua only maybe in wushu..Him walking on the 9 palace poles and doing the form shows that he is skill in balance, etc. Him flipping down was probably something he rather do to get down easier...Cmsoon I like this video ..

  • I like! Are those poles always called mui fa joong, or is that only when they're in a plum blossom shape?

  • The poles/posts training has many different names. 'Mui-Fa' or 'Mei-Hwa' patterns can have 5, 6, 7, or 8 posts in 'plum-flower' patterns. 9 or more posts usually are called '9-Dragon Palace ', or '9 star Heaven' patterns. Shao-Lin posts training has sometimes 12 to 15 odd height poles. Also done from the ground and striking the poles for body toughening. Many variations.

  • really nice :D

  • all these things can be trained esp if u an acrobat. Let's see the guy fight. That's all that matters

  • Call a challenge to him.Show us how its done.

  • Hmmm... hes not trying to fight, hes not trying to impress you? This is for all of you, he is not flipping, he is spiraling, which is one of the main attributes of Baguazhang. Now if one of you can tell me what form he is using then i may revoke my statement, but as for now you are ignorant fools.

  • Whoa Bagua dude chill,i didn't say anything bad about the guy on the poles.I admire what he's doing.

  • I'm really not sure why your upset... Im not angry, I don't get angry over petty things. But Baguazhang has a lot to do with what hes doing. I can do the same exact thing and i know very little about acrobatics.

  • i agree, people think a guy flipping around means he is good. he is only acrobatics

  • riiiiiight.

  • who says that he couldn't be both.

  • If you knew much about Bagua you would know that half is footwork and evasive techniques. The point of this traing is to train your body to move in difficult directions with ease to hit or redirect an opponent or his blow. The fact that he can flip has nothing to do with it, anyone with a tiny amount of experience can do that. Bagua uses this and its called Post Training. All Bagua Masters can do this and the fact that youve never experienced one for yourself has little to do with his skill.

  • wow where is that?

  • That was badass, really cool Bagua.
