It was also one of the funniest games from a non-partisan point of view (I'm English) with the refereeing farce and the Mexican getting tangled up in the net like a fish and breaking the goalposts. Fat American Sherrifs carrying on the new goalposts and the Bulgarians looking like they might murder the referee on the pitch.
also in this game some mexican player fell into the net. the goal actually broke and the game was stopped for 10 mins. they had to bring on a replacement goal!

@Blitzwing06 they cannot change their style in time when the world's soccer style came to a skill+strength combination. when compare to the other balkan teams: serbia, romania, croatia, turkey......their skills are in the lower class. basically bulgaria is still adopting the tactics of "fast, straight and tall". when they face germany they could win but when the skillful teams come strong they could not be strong anymore.

I've been in Stockholm. Very clean and nice. But when it gets 20 degrees (it gets once or twice a year) everybody start walking almost naked thinking it is the tropical weather that came.... But from November till Ferbuary it gets dark at 3 o'clock and even during noon it is impossible to read without elecricity switched on. mexico era local en ese mundial,y bulgaria era un buen equipo pero ese partido se debio haber ganado, era un europeo clase "b" y mexico con todo el publico a favor debio pasar a la otra ronda y tal vez mas, se desperdicio el 3er mundial como local y fue una lastima.
Fue una lastima pero perdimos en penales, mientras que equipos como argentina perdieron 2-0 ante este equipo clase B que ademas quedo como en tercer lugar en esa copa del mundo.
si ese equipo fue cuarto pero si vemos bien realmente al unico equipo poderoso que elimino fue a alemania en cuartos, era un buen equipo pero sigo creyendo que mexico tenia muchas ventajas sobre ellos de igual manera no hay mucho que reclamar pues para mi ese equipo 93-94 y el del 98 han sido los mejores que me ha tocado ver, a este le falto experiencia pero ya que. bulgaria le gano a argentina pero recuerda que ellos venian del doping de maradona y estaban destruidos y eso se vio en octavos.
Stoitchkov estaba en su punto más alto en ese año. Bulgaria fue una de las sorpresas de ese mundial. Lo que está claro es que la selección búlgara era muy débil en defensa, pero muy fuerte en ataque (Stoitchkov - balón de oro, bota de oro y máximo goleador del Mundial, Sirakov, Penev...). La debilidad en defensa se muestra en partidos como contra Nigeria en la fase de grupos que cayeron derrotados 3-0 o en el partido de 3er y 4º puesto, q se llevaron la 2ª parte encerrados en defensa
Tampoco hay que olvidar que Bulgaria en ese año se clasificó al Mundial eliminando a Francia de la fase de grupos. La Francia de Cantona, Ginola y Papin
