  • Just fucking great!!

  • were is the sound?

  • This lady doesn't look like Ros Sereysotea

  • bit of 60's garage influence there, like it,reminds me of a dirty, raw version of Luscious Jackson.don't think the dancing style will catch on though.

  • I Was Looking For This Song Gosh It Really Does Bring Back Memories When I Would Always Dance To It Wrong But My Mom Would Always Teach Me!!!

  • brings back memories of when i was younger listening to this song,

  • haven't heard in a while

  • very up lifting

  • I just started listening to Khmer music and I'm diggin it. I like more of the oldies though, like this song.

  • @NarithakaRusty same here lol. have you heard the one by dengue fever? its pretty cool too.

  • @MegaMoFUnk nah, I haven't heard the dengue fever version, I'll try to look for it on youtube.

  • damn...dis song remind mad shit....urggggg...i cant sleep to night

  • she is so naturally beautiful! i've done kiyaking in the past and had a really good work out for the arms. i would love to go to this part of srok Khmer and do some canoening there. i love those lotus plants--i would probably pick some while canoening until my canoe tips over. that would be really fun!!! :)

  • @erotikka12 Like the song tip my canoe by Dengue Fever?

  • thank you!

  • would that be as effective, though, to wear shoes? i think it's more therapeutic to dance barefeet (especially on mud). it's alot easier to get my feet washed than to wash my muddy shoes. what do you think? i would dread doing the washing of my shoes...:)

  • Great song, and a classic. yes things were added to this for sure (instrumentals). But please somebody tell those dancing girls to PLEASE "PUT ON SOME SHOES"! You're not dancing in your house, you're outside on a mud road!

  • the guy is saying that he likes the girl when he sees her canoeing. he is so mesmerized by her beauty that he would pursue her until she becomes his wife. he is hoping that she is available and that she likes him, too. he would have a cardiac arrest if she's already taken by another guy; however, if she is available to go with him, it will make him feel like he is ascending to heaven. and, if her canoe should ever tip over, he would rescue her in a heartbeat. absolutely beautiful!!!

  • THIS IS MY SHIT!!!

  • LOL Rock N Roll hahahaha it call saravan dude.

  • love this song.................

  • supposedly, i'm an 'american'... =)

yet my heart and mind is being captured by the apsara...

for the time being at least, i'm actually located in Seattle...

  • Of Southeast Asia in general, and Cambodia in particular; I am just amazed by the music. A Cambodian young lady once told me she only listened to Cambodian music. I was like, wtf? Then, I got into it, and now understand.

  • what is your nationality? just wondering=)

  • So this is Ros Sereysothea doing the female vocals? I've been trying to track this one down. I'd first thought it was Touch SreyNich, but after listening again and again, it just didn't quite seem like her. Plus, the 'film' footage looked to be from an earlier era. In any case, this song rocks my world.

  • the vocal is definitely not touch sreynich lol.this is the golden voice era. you can tell by the wonderful sound

  • yeah, i was searching for touch sreynich videos one day, and found this one... so i thought it was touch... but the more i listened, the recording sounded older, and the woman singer sounded like someone else... maybe like touch sreynich with a big plate reverb... is this one ros sereysothea? ros sereysothea seems to have more depth to her tone... but it could be the heavy use of reverb... i find the 'other' ros sereysothea stuff i've heard to be really haunting... beautifully haunting...

  • The male singer is Sin Sisamouth, the female is Ros Sereisothea. The king and queen of Khmer pop music before the Khmer rouge. This song sounded like it had new instrumental soundtrack inserted into the original vocals.

  • the genocide happend everywhere in everypart of the world, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa. we have to look at the whole picture.

  • love it. beautiful

  • Khmer women are good looking, hell

  • oh man, Sisamouth is the best. Man how many sound can he make with his voice. I was talking to my dad and he told me he can make 9 different singing voices. In this one, he sounds like he's in his 20s my dad told me who's around late 40s when making this song.

  • khmerkid,

the thais may be bitches, but they aint commit a genocide against their own people like you did against your own people. now who's smart & who's idiotic!!

  • Oh like u're one hell of really smart ass comparing the pain that us Khmer had gone through to your stupid IQ. It's not the matter of smart or not in Khmer society during that era because most of them were illiterate so by a little persuasive, pressure or threaten they will do some unbelievable thing that we, the literate, couldn't imagine.

  • Well, the genocide had taught khmer a lesson, but wt a shame is that i've heard that Thai had filmed a video about that genocide in S-21 and somewhere in the forest, then tried to released to the public as theirs around 2004 or 2005, can't remember. Now not only the Angkor Wat that they tried to cliam but also everything that belong to us such as the pottery, wooden wheel, and many other stuffs.

  • Sonny tard is gay

  • great song.

  • no correction. filipino's look like cambodians.

  • This is one of the sweetest, most beautiful songs I've ever heard. The American electric-psychedelic Khmer-Rock revival band Dengue Fever does a great cover of this song under the title "Tip My Canoe"- like a lot of Cambodian songs, this one has such a powerful beat that's just asking to be syncopated, to be opened up, thereby transforming it into rock n' roll. Can anyone post a translation for the lyrics of this song? I would be forever grateful.

  • from pkachantu - They're talking about their boats passing by eachother, and they meet. The girls says if the guys boat starts to tip she will save him only if he agrees to make her his first wife.

  • cambodian looks like Filipino.

  • and thai

  • FUCK THAI BITCHES

  • thai people dont do anything to you. may be i dont but i think of u ppl as friend.

  • khmerkid,

the thais may be bitches, but they aint commit a genocide against their own people like you did against your own people.

  • no! filipino look like cambodian :P

  • luv this song!!!

  • nice song

  • very good song. esp for dancing. :D

  • I LOVE THIS SONG.

@2:00 True Khmer beauties and sceneries.

Just wanna get there and dance with the ladies, that looks fun.

  • nothing is better then original,!!

  • I know this is SR productions, does anybody know which volume it is though?

  • this is a classic. thanks

  • dengue fever is not from SF.

  • If you like Khmer rock. You should check out a San Fransisco band name 'Dengue Fever'. The lead singer is a native Khmer with other members from US. They fuse Khmer with western.

  • If you're interested in Khmer Rock'n roll. Please type Sinn Sisamouth or Ros sereysothea, you'll find lists of their songs. They're dead now but they left a great legacy in music that no Cambodian can match. "The Best of the Best"

  • I don´t want shit from the USA, I want REAL KHMER from Cambodia!!

    Loak moak bpee nee?

  • This is really a good song. I neither understand Khemr nor any thing about the song. But I enjoy this song. Can someone translate or comment about the lyrics? Is this song produced before the Khemr Rouge period(77-79)? Are the singers killed? How about the other Khmer Rock songs with the same name with different numbers. I am very much interested in knowing. I will appreciate, if any Khmer speaking person can provide me with replies.

  • They're talking about their boats passing by eachother, and they meet. The girls says if the guys boat starts to tip she will save him only if he agrees to make her his first wife. Im sorry dont get mad at me if im worng Im kinda fob at khmer too, but i love this song.

  • oh yea he also says that ppl around town are saying if you were married to me it would be like going to heven! its so cute, if you understand khmer.

  • my dad loves this song!

  • Not really a rock song but still a good Samouth+Sothea song.

  • Love the song and the lady in the video. Truly classic.

  • this song is cool

  • did both the singers die in the Vietnam War?

  • They died during the reign of the Khmer Rouge which came to power in cambodia in 75.

  • very good song

  • Love oldies. Love Sinn Sisamouth and Rous Sereysothea!

  • classic. i still recall the times i use to hear my mom listen to these songs back in the 80's. i remember her old radio and how she use to sing along.

  • This song is the best. Does anyone knows who sang this song??

  • 4sho it is! Original Artist; male: Sinsei Somoath, female: Ros Sreysothea..... i Love dis song.

  • i like this song! I kereoke it at home. Hehehe! the girl on the boat looks like my older sister.

  • this song is the shit

  • OMG! this song is classic! :D
