  • For some reason Dead of Night didn’t do it for me either. I thought that Midnight Movie was better in most aspects: scarier, darker, and overall more enjoyable. Ted Radford is a character that can take on any of these vampires. bit. ly/m3Wx8

  • Of course it's coming from Foster Homes the movie is called Orphan and she killed a Sister! OMG A SISTER FROM THE LORD!

  • i love this movie

  • did you see the movie i love it

  • I love orphan sooooooooooooo much its my favoirt movie of 2009 and for 2010 airbender is my fave

  • After reading the article I'll have to say that your opinion is right on with the ideology.......But...what is making you even ask yourself if you are right is the fact that the adoption business does not want any negative exsposure...........it's big money....need I say more?

  • god, you like so much like my older sister,

    lol

  • at the start u say cruel little girl shes fricen old DERR!! why would adotion shit people give a shit SHE NOT YOUNGE SHE FRICEN 30 for gods sake

  • I've seen this movie and it is an absolute good horror movie I haven't seen anything like it in a long time. Now I had no idea there were myths from adopting a child, in fact I didn't think anyone would think this way about adopting a child, if the movie is degrading to orphans, then it is beyond degrading to even think about children like that when you want to adopt, a person would really have to have a messed up confused heart to think this movie depicts what might happen if they adopt.

  • I have yet to see the Orphan because I couldn't get anyone to go with me plus I was busy. I am going to buy it on dvd though. I've watched a few scenes online and from what I can tell, Isabelle Fuhrman who plays Esther seems extremely talented. I remember hearing about people complaining about it. I honestly don't get it. It is only a movie for entertainment.

  • Also, if someone thought that if they adopted a child that he or she would turn out like Esther, then they are idiots who don't even deserve kids. Also, I kinda think the adoption and foster agency are doing way more harm to the kids' chances for adoption than a movie. I mean really. They are complaining about it way too much.

  • I'm glad you made this video, I'm so scared there gonna petition this movie not coming to dvd. And your right, kids who are not 18 shouldn't complain it's scary, it's alittle thing called parenting. It's for mature people only which hearing from these complaining parents..they don't seem very bright or too mature. I'm 23 and that was the best horror movie I ever seen in my entire life. It's fake and for another, she wasn't even a real little girl. I support this movie 100% !!!

  • Sort of reminds me of the jackasses who accused Hanna and Barbera of feline abuse when they first started making Tom and Jerry shorts... I mean, it's fictional, Goddamnit.

  • colhan i saw that movie and godamn you werent kidding i heard like 2 or 4 parents complaining their asses off on the movie and i said shut the fuck up its fake jezz and personally i liked the movie it had a good story to it :) but im so mad at them for getting negative reviews seriously anyway i agree with you

  • What were they saying?

  • well the first two complained about adoption so bad and the other 3 said they arent adopting if their adopted kid acts like that and they were bitching so bad they wouldnt shut up and i seen a few kids there who were adopted and they were really scared and the 3rd couple had one adopted kid and they were really telling their asses off to their kid this really pissed me off

  • So let me get this straight...

There was a couple saying they weren't going to adopt if their kid is like Ester in the movie? First off its not real and kids like Ester and usually put into some form of counseling before being put up for adoption To help them get over what happened to them.

And two if this is because of Esters behavior despite it being over the top for horror proposes, all kids are rambunctious, none of them are ALWAYS well behaved. Today's parents need to realize this.

  • Next up why did some parents bring their kids into the movie?! Can any parents today read the rating?! Its rated R! As in NOBODY UNDER EIGHTEEN WITHOUT AN ADULT! Well the parents were with them...but couldn't they tell by knowing their kids that they might not be ready for that kind of material!?

And to tell off an adopted child you have when their scared...I don't think I even want to know what the parents said based on the movie and how idiotic people, ESPEICALLY parents today can be.

  • And to think a few years from now I'll be forced to deal with these types when I go to work and everything else...

I'm most likely going to end up in jail for beating these idiots up.

  • Why should you even care? You know its not your prolem to for people ot bring their kids to R-Rated movie.

If I was an dad, I would take my kids to an R-rated movie. No matter what you

or anybody thinks. Its called having an

opinon. Everyone has their own opinion.

  • I care because its parents like these that take their young kids to R rated movies that also give video games a bad name because they buy M rated games for their kids and then complain about the material in it and want it banned or censored.

If you want to take your kids to an R rated movie and you know they can handle it thats fine.

I would have a problem with this if you later blamed the movie for your kid getting upset from it rather then yourself since R is for 18 year olds and up.

  • Im 12 and I hate horror movies. I mean if i was even an adult I would hate them. Anyway what was so scary about was there zombies or a guy with a mask going around killing people on holloween? If you watched it then tell me. Who cares if Im 12 just tell me what happened I am to scared to see it. Im not a wimp though I just dont like horror stuff.

  • You know you take the R rating too seriously. You should mind your

buisness if other parents take their kids or not. It is up too parents not up to you.

  • OMFG. How can they bitch about this? She ended up being a midget anyway! Watch the movie before you judge it, dumbassses. Thanks for the rant Colhan.

  • You know what's funny?

These groups are stating how this film portrays stereotypes in an orphanage. That statement rarely exists so doesn't that make these groups stating the stereotypes as reality a bunch of hypocrites?

  • The movie Orphan was a terrible excuse for a film.

Cause you know what's entertaining? CHILDREN DIEING.

It was just a lame attempt at controversy.

  • That movie was horrifieing! WARNING: UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, DO NOT TAKE CHILDREN TO SEE THAT MOVIE, DO NOT LET CHILDREN WATCH THAT MOVIE. It was sick, messed up, and wrong. That movie made my kid stay up for three days straight.

  • No offense but "Orphan" is an R rated horror film. R rated means nobody under eighteen years old may see it. As in its NOT MADE FOR KIDS!

If your kid is actually of eighteen years of age and saw it then okay, I understand that being 22 myself and I don't like horror films. But if they are well below that age then sorry its YOUR fault.

"Orphan"'s content was not made for children. Not all movies are for kids. Next time watch the movie yourself before taking your kid to see it if its rated R.

  • Umm. People are allowed to take their kids to R rated movies. If I had an kid I would let them watch R rated movies.

People shouldn't be judgemental about it.

  • well im 13 and i saw Orphan. i liked it alot

  • @MannyFresh1254 me too I was 13 when I saw it is was amazing

  • It wasn't wrong or sick. People who say that are reglious.

  • it was a FREAKY movie i must say.

  • i agree, Colhan

  • I saw the movie and it was good, now what I think about the reporters trying to boycott the move.....THEY NEED TO F**K THEMSELVES!

    GRAB THEMSELF A C**K AND SUCK AT IT! IT'S A F**KING MOVIE!! THEY'RE MOTHERF**KING IDOTS WHO DOESN'T KNOW A CLUE OF WHAT THEY'RE SAYING!

Sorry, but I had to get it out. That's how I feel about it.

  • good god! dont those dumbasses realise its uhh idk a MOVIE!! -_- wow its not real idiots ok so parents quit freaking out and being serious over a movie geez sometimes i cant get over how stupid some people are not ALL but some

  • i thought the movie was a bad piece of crap and guess wat? i saw it and it annoyed the hell outta me and it sucked so bad

  • another thing it reminds me of the omen lol

  • You know what would REALLY stir some controversy?

...If the child in Orphan was a muslim kid!

  • its a fucking movie!they shouldn't be complaning.

  • I have a friend who was adopted and he is not the pyscho killer the adoptive children myths put him out to be. He was one of my best childhood friends, so the myths are just that, myths and bad stereotyping.

  • Agreed!

    Adopted kids are NOT monsters!

  • The child gets a second chance in life, so what's the problem!? Yes, it's a possibility that the child will be bratty about being abandoned, but come on, not EVERY child is like that!

To take it too seriously & go "I'm not going to adopt because this movie has shown me that it's best", it's not fair on the child up for adoption.

The child can be taught to accept it, though they don't have to like it (who would?) but they get a new chance to live as a family & that's what's important.

  • I agree with what you say. It's just a horror film it's not ment to taken seriously. Heck, I also have a friend who was adopted and she told me that she wants to adopt someday because she wants to save a kid like how her adopted parents saved her. But honestly I never heard of any of these stereotypes until now. But like you said all this backlash is just stupid.

  • Any half-minded person would know to differ fiction from reality, and anyone who encounters problems doing so should maybe consider that they aren´t mature enough to be parents to begin with. Besides, an adult who takes a movie seriously probably wouldn´t pass adoption tests, so there is no real loss.

It´s just a lot of moaning and bitching.

It´s like saying "Everyone who watched `Air Bud´ expects labs to play basketball".

  • wow its seems the soccer mom decise is spreading '"sign" okay first off THIS MOVIE IS NOT MENT TO BE TAKEN SERESLY YOU IDIOTS!!!!! it was for our entertainment so stop bitching i swear peoples must be loseing brain cells evrey minute they need grow up.

  • ....THIS IS THE MOST STUPIDEST THING I'VE HEARD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!! Those people need to know not to take a horror movie seriously unless its a true story. These protestors are more stupid than fox news and peta combined there I said it. The negative feedback is a load of bullocks go see it just t tell them to fuck off.

  • Besides, it's a Horror film. It's supposed to be scare people. If it scared potential parents about adopting kids, it did its job.

And they'll get over it soon. Jaws made people scared of the Ocean for a while and afterwards, people got over it.

People should just accept Orphan for what it is and just not make a big fuss about it.

As I always say, if you don't like, DON'T GO FUCKING SEE IT! ALRIGHT?!

  • Yeah seriously.

  • Thank you. I wish I could say that to their faces.

  • These adoption agencies and parent groups are being silly. It's like they think the film is a fucking documentary or something.

For crying out loud, I see it as a tribute to the previous evil kid movies like The Bad Seed and The Omen. Considering, I think Orphan might be a potential classic.

My God, people are so damn sensitive, it's ridiculous. You know what this is? This is the Silent Night, Deadly Night controversy all over again.

    (There's more on the way.)

  • obviously a child that was deeply truamitised would not be put up for adoption until they had some theropy.

also whats wrong with being "damaged goods". "normal goods" are so selfish it's me me I want I want.

  • Yeah they would go through theropy for that sort of thing.

Parents are worried they would have to deal with the problems the child has from any abuse they suffered. That the problems the kid has would ruin their lives while trying to deal with them.

  • People should just learn that this is just a movie, not real life.

  • Amen to that.

  • yep

i remember seeing a ton of protestors in 2006 for the DaVinci Code

it is not real, and it is for entertainment

  • Not to mention the creator wasn't even being serious.

They were upset because the movie's story was based on a old religion of women and the birth cycle being honored, and that Jesus had a wife and daughter. This movie mostly mocked the church for their treatment toward women.

They don't complain that the movie has a lot of incorrect history, such as those Knight's.

They complain about Jesus appearing more human and making the church look bad (Like they need help with that)

  • I don't care, I just wanna see this damn movieeee~ It looks so amazing~~~ :DDDDD

  • A horror movie fan I see XD

  • It sucks because I usually don't get out to see them that often because most of them are rated R. D:

*kicks self for being born so late*

  • Honestly, this kind of reminds me of the whole thing about a mountain Dew commercial having a Ferret chasing after a couple with a chainsaw. People with petitions for legalizing ferrets as pet in other countries wanted to remove the commercial because they thought it would have a negative effect on letting ferrets be legalized as pets... -.-;

  • That is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard in my life....

  • i wonder if they saw a movie like "the problem child" it would gain the same result?

  • Beats me...who knows these days...

  • actually, just to mess with them, they should watch "the good son" "don't have your own child, or else he'll be a sociopath and will try to kill you."

  • People are just too sensitive these days. They look right at what could be seen as offensive.

  • I read the article. See, people will see anything bad about ANYTHING and freak out.

The "critics" of this movie are no better than PeTA.

  • I understand where the people in these groups are coming from.

But seriously...and person who takes this movie seriously enough that it scares them from adoption...to me that's one less idiot raising a kid.

Kids up for adoption need a stable and loving family. Not ones dumb enough to take stuff like a movie this seriously.

  • And yes it is bullshit, people shouldn't take movies so seriously. Its a horror film, its meant to be creepy..whats next someone makes fun of barbies?...making them all evil and demonic then the toy companies freaking saying no one is gonna buy the barbies anymore. Stupid example I know, but come on people chill out. Again great rant Colhan

  • People have already done that with Barbies...remember the Tattoo Barbie that parents said would make kids want to get tattoos? Or the Pregnant Mitch Barbie doll that parents said could promote teen pregnancy?

  • OMG really? I didnt even know about that...wow some parents now a days.

  • Watch a user by the name of Jeepers Media for info on both those situations. He has a lot of funny toy reviews along with those.

  • ok will do :)

  • Evil barbies taking over the world?

    That sounds funny!

  • Great rant Colhan! People need to calm down its only a movie.

  • Thanks.

  • 100 percent agree. Even through I'm not a big horror movie fan, people would be idoits to think this movie as reality.

  • I'm not a horror movie fan myself either but that doesn't mean I take them seriously or ruin it for those that do like them.

My sisters been a fan of horror movies since she was fourteen.

  • its a fucking horror movie its fictional whats so bad about it

  • They think its insensitive to kids up for adoption and portrays myths and stereotypes in a bad way that they think will scare people from adopting.
