  • Very nice fat fish :)

  • haha i love the close-up on his face, I have never seen anything like it.

Im trying to find some "unusual" looking fish for my aquarium, what kind of fish are at @ 2:30 ?

  • Is that a fake stump in the tank or real either way Im jealous i want one... without the wolf, and I have never seen wolf fish eating pellets hehehe cool.

  • It's a fake stump. I don't use it anymore, moved on to driftwood.

  • @mudfrog Do you find that your driftwood colors the water a yellow tint? I have a 65 gallon tank and i feel like I have to change the water out quite frequently to keep it from turning yellow

  • Sweet thanks.

Im looking to get really colorful bichir.

which would you recommend for me? i dont no any names.

    peace

  • You times that by 0.00433? if so

your tanks is 48 gallons right? abotu 50 yeahh okayy sweet.

btw how big do bichirs get?

  • I just use the published size that the tank manufacturer uses. This bichir gets up to 12".

  • nice tank.

Are u measuring by cm ?

  • I measure by inches.

  • You think a 8" Red Wolf will kill a 10" Jaguar? I wonder if I can buy a wolf to live with my Jag.

  • wow, love your red! nice, fat and healthy! do you know if a ery ery and a ery peru would be compatible? i think it would be sweet to have them in one tank if it could work out!

  • does he ever go after the bichirs? ya think they can be kept with gars without tearing them up?

  • Yes he chases the bichirs on occasion. I wouldn't keep them with Gars, Gars will get huge and these guys stay fairly small.

  • I actually have one 6 inch red wolf and a 6 inch gar, they seem to get along fine.....for now. they pretty much ignore each other. mabe its cause there well fed?

  • If the size is similar there won't be a problem. Most gars get way larger than 7", so they would pose a risk to the wolf over a long period of time.

  • hes about 5" but hes still only young he grows wider lol i have him in a tank with 4 blehri snakeheads , king tiger pleco, bulldog pleco , and a knife fish but he runs the show i will upload some new videos of my tanks real soon im just waiting on a new hd camera :D

  • u have real nice conditions i have a a red wolf hes not as chunky but hes gettin there ;)

  • Nice how big is he? This one is 7" so he's getting close to full grown :D

  • how big do they get?

  • Typically right around 8" full grown. Supposedly some have reached 10" but this is in the wild. I've yet to see one over 8" in captivity.

  • cool I thought they got monster. That must be the regular wolf fish. Minimum tank size?

  • The Ery's stay around 8". The Hoplias species typically get 2 feet and larger. I also have a 9" Hoplias malabaruics.

  • your wolf fish is real chunky

  • yea, he's an absolute pig
