  • Pitfall = TempleRun

  • Activision Atari --------> Activision Blizzard, call of duty, etc........

    Yeah nothing changed.

  • i hate 80's audio quality

  • It was actully a smash hit back then like one of the best games I love to collect old games on the sega genesis theirs pitfall the Mayan adventure theirs the entire original pitfall if you don't feel like finding the clues to play the original at the title screen of the game press down and press A 26 times then press down again

  • I got on the weird side of youtube again.

  • Cobra Rattlers! It's like a Cobra with a rattlesnake tail and cobra venom but the more efficient upfront delivery system of a rattlesnake! Yeah!

  • Still have my Atari hooked up in my garage next to my old Sega Master System. Love Atari.

  • back when Activison was good and didnt use COD as a Money machinine

  • Pitfall was the standard for all third-party Atari development.. The only other company to come close to Activision was Parker Brothers.

  • graphics came along way!

  • IT was fun to play.......but for like 15 min

  • I had that game, it wasn't bad.

  • As much crap as Atari was, even growing up back then, you have to admit Pitfall was a half decent game.

  • do you have pitfall for the atari 2600? sure do! can i buy it sure {hands game}

here you go! ahh yes {person grab game from hands } crap do you have another

    one? sorry all out

  • SUPER pitfall

  • too bad ET destroyed atari

  • too awsome atariage braught back atari

  • @Sasuke006

ET destroyed Atari??? ET was a bad game, but hardly destroyed anything. The problem was that Warner had bought Atari and got rid of the nerds who ran the company, bringing in business and marketing "experts" who did not know computers or video games. Just like Apple did in the 1990s, when they fired Steve Jobs and nearly went out of business.

  • @motherthing Not by itself. Pacman helped, LOL. But seriously, it was a combination of things, like essentially the 2600 was really more of a 1.5 than 2nd generation console, competing in a 3rd generation gaming world, a flood of poor quality 3rd party games made by everyone from Quaker Oats to Purina!, to poor 5200 controllers/lack of games, & so on. The fact that over bonus $/programming credits, many of the best programmers left to form the competing co. "Activision" didn't help either!

  • @Sasuke006 I hated ET also as a movie.

  • @psychonaut25 i never saw it but alot of people loved i think lol

  • @Sasuke006 It wasn't the only factor in the video game crash of 1983. People like to think they're smart and say, ET and Pac Man caused the video game crash! It wasn't JUST them, there were MANY OTHER FACTORS AS WELL. It wouldn't have happened just because 2 games were released, however they did contribute.

  • @MrSaturn33 i didnt mean it litterally i know only one game cant destroy a whole system. but its just funny how big a fail Et was lol that they actually buried alot of the cartridges

  • @Sasuke006 lol yeah, sorry for underestimating your intelligence, but a lot of people blame ET and Pac Man for the video game crash because it's just simpler and easier to remember. And yeah, the game was really rushed and flawed, a LOT of people sent their cartridges back to Atari.

  • @MrSaturn33

Correct you are. The primary factors were Atari's hubris AND Shitty 3rd party development.

  • @Sasuke006 Actually it didn't you fucking idiot. People like to say ET and Pac-Man caused the Crash of '83 but they do this because it is simpler. The crash was due to a number of factors. ET and Pac-Man didn't help, but they could NOT have caused the crash or destroyed Atari on their own. The number of games and systems were numerous and overblown, not to mention it was hard to pick out the gems among the crap. Publishing control was at a loss, not to mention competition from computers.

  • @Sasuke006 ET absolutely did not destroy Atari. There were dozens of games MUCH worse than ET. Do your research.

  • Pitfall 2 was the best

  • Pitfall 2 pisses me off! But Pitfall, definitely a classic, and one of Activisions best, along with Megamania and Seaquest.

  • @jeremysart Yeah, i know! Screw Black Ops and Blur! But pitfall!!! I JUST LOVE TO JUMP!!! lolz!

  • @jeremysart why dose pitfall 2 piss you off? i think its 10X better than the original

  • @Hdogskater Could be a nostalgia thing, or simply because I found Pitfall 2 confusing and cumbersome. With the first one, you just went straight until you died or the time ran out. And I never had the second one as a kid. I only first played it a few years ago.

  • @jeremysart I think Megamania is kinda bland. My favorite Activision games for the 2600 (aside from both Pitfall games) are: Keystone Kapers, Kaboom!, Spider Fighter, River Raid and Chopper Command. Seaquest is great, too

  • @jeremysart I loved PItfall 2! The MIDI music rocked!

  • @jeremysart Don't forget Battlezone (1998)

  • pitfall was a classic!

  • Pitfall 2 was better.
