  • so would if i use a heat mat on a 29 qt storage bin will it melt the bin? or should i not do that?

  • @wellwellcoolkid I think you are better off using our intellitemp heat mats which are made for plastic enclosures.

  • baby corn snake is 85 to 93 degrees right

  • i have my heat mat on there sticking to my tub no tin foil will it still get too hot with about a inch and a quarter of aspen

  • @c032970 You can use a thermostat to keep it at the temp you need it to be.

  • i dont need a temp gage do i?

  • Could you put the heat mat inside the tank, underneath the substrate? Please could i have an answer asap

  • @S3XYBOI100 Yes, but you must make sure even on the lowest setting that the mat doesn't get too hot as bedding insulates heat and makes it go higher.

  • So what do I put between the heat mat and my wooden dresser? If you say insulation I won't understand what that is/:..

  • Do you think it would be safe to plug about three of these into a outlet with one of those things that allow more than two plug ins?(Cant think of what its called lol)

  • @NotTheUsualChoice If you are referring to a six strip outlet that should be no issue.

  • 1) Cute snake(:

    2) Would it be safe to put a heat mat on a wood dresser and place the cage on top of that?

    3) For a bearded dragon, would you put a heat mat on the basking or resting side of the cage?

  • @RentBrisius96 You have to always be careful when placing a heat mat on wood, it could mar the wood so I would recommend placing some insulation (the pink sheet kind) between the wood and the enclosure. Also set the adjust a temp on the lowest setting to start. Lastly, ALWAYS put the mat on the basking side of the cage. One side should be cooler and darker than the other.

  • Are they good for leopard geckos and bearded dragons?

  • @lizardlord15 Absolutely!

  • Should I attach the sticky side to tin foil? And if I used that heat pad on low along with a sun glo bulb 100 watt (already gets tank to 85) would that exceed ninety degrees in a ten gallon aquarium? Let me know. Thanks!

  • @jacob9853109 Yes, sticky side to tin foil so you can change position whenever you want. 100 watt in a 10 gallon would be way too hot with a heat pad. A 40 or 60 watt would likely be more than enough.

  • Hi ive been thinking of getting a corn snake and from the research I've done ppl have said to get a thermostat with the heat mat can someone explain to me why I need a thermostat if it has temperature controls?

  • @lglukey96 Typically with a heat mat like this which has a controller you would not need a thermostat. Many heat mats on the market do not have a built in controller and then a thermostat is often helpful.

  • I have a 40 gal breeder and the 22 watt is to long to turn to the side. so what can i do? i wanted to to the side of the tank, instead of turning it and it go toward the middle of the tank. understand what i'm saying?

  • what size would be perect for a 40 gallon tak?

  • @TillHeartStops777 The largest size 8 x 18" in accordance with Steven the Pet Man's description in the video of calculating 1/3 to 1/2 of the bottom of the enclosure.

  • for a corn snake do you need any other heat source or can you use just use the mat?

  • @gkjh9519HD You can use it as your own heat norce but make sure it covers 1/2 the cave one warm side one cool side & with the thermostate make sure it doesnt get higher then 89.you wanna keep it around 87-88 Its Not to Hot & its not to cool & on the cool side if you get a temp gauge make sure its about 75-80

At night you can drop temps but no loweer then 70F

  • It'll be a few years before I'll get my first pet reptile (ball python), but I'm resarching the care for them and have several questions:

1.Why put tin foil on the adhesive side, wouldn't the tin foil burn or catch fire? Is there other things besides tin foil that can be used?

2.Would I need to use a ceramic heat emitter with an undertank heater?

3.Would I need to use a thermostat with any heat sources?

    Thanks for the helpful videos

  • @cummins789 You can just mount it to the tank but then you'll never get it off and tin foil is safe to use. Question 2 can only be answered by knowing the style and size of the tank. We recommend thermostats to control any heat source. Thanks for watching the videos.

  • @BigApplePetSupply how would you mount it? I might add tin foil to mine..but what can i get to hold it under the tank if it's unable to stick?

  • @BigApplePetSupply how do we mount it if we have tin foil on it?

  • mine doest have an ajustable het pad how do in control the heat

  • @mrchunky100 i mean heat
