Both versions are superb. It's too close to call. Both have their strong points. I like the little ad-libbing on the second lead vocal on this one a little better, but the arrangement is almost exactly the same with a few minor changes.
STANK I Have. no doubt about your validity of the records. I sang on the background track for Major and it was one of his first singles after singing with brother in the Delfonics in 69! It was MY first experience in the studio
@11jibreel The Major Harris song he covered was "Love Won't Let Me Wait." Luther recorded two versions of this song, once in the 70's when he formed a group called "Luther", and later on the Any Love album. I have both versions on here.

I loved Luther, what ever he sung. But I submit his original (from the group Luther) was much better. He sounds a little tired here.
