  • hi its spagboll616, my youtube account died so i had to set up a new one. sorry to keep bothering you. is the petroleum jelly just for the dividing wall or do you paint it on the face to, as a release agent? do you even use a release agent on the face or dose it come away without much fuss? last question. i foun this Jesmonite Fibreglass Laminating Movie Prop stuff. do tou think that would do the job?

  • awesome mate. was it just normal fiber glass? didnt it stick to the clay?

  • @spagboll616 there is always a little deposition in the mould from the NSP plastiline, but with a little boiling water an ordinary washing-up detergent, it comes right out. Or you can choose to use a dental seperator, but this can bring up other issues. it's easier to just give it a clean, as there isn't that much anyway :) thanks for the nice compliment. I shall be starting my Original Nightmare 1 (1984 masterpiece) Freddy mask soon, i shall up pics! keep checking!!!

  • @Quagmire9productions nice! i can't wait to see that. sorry to ask agen but what fiber glass was it agen?

  • @spagboll616 LOL not a prob. It is a Medium set polyester resin, with medium MEKP catalyst. The Polyester Gell coat is also a medium (interior) and uses the same MEKP. Hope this helps! :)

  • WOW!! Amazing great work.. What type of material did you use to make the cast mold is that fiberglass?

I am in the process of scrupling a mask and I am debating on making the mask out of latex or silicone I want it to look realistic.

    Excellent job!! 5 STARS

  • @jayz831 Yeah, it was a fiberglass mould, obviously with an internal gel coat to detail coating. Thanks for the great comments! if you would like any tips or have any questions about this sort of process, please feel free to email me me and i will help where possible. :)
