On my LinPack I am getting 2.0 MegaFlops ???  that seems slow???

Installed CPU Tuner and set it to Performance (557mhz) made no difference.

Yet my download speed is at 2,500 down 500 up!

Any suggestions?

@chris75042 download setcpu. i got from 578 mhz to 614 mhz and my linpack it 3.5-4.3. the lowest i got wuz like 3.16 :) thou the browser is no difference than be4 :l

for those ppl who is havin trouble wwith the battery life try to flash into recovery, wipe battery stats, reboot. let ur phone die, then recharge it to full battery :)

it CAN, but it highly unlikely. Only way you can really mess it up is if your battery dies while you are in the process. That can corrupt somethings. Truly other than that, its safe.

Your phone seems much more responsive then my G1. Linpack on my phone gives something between 3.5 and 4, just like yours.

I have RC2 installed. Did you do any performance tweaks?

@meukbox Yea you get those scores if you have JIT on, but it eventually slows your phone down, I recommend turning it off and your linpack will go down to around 2.5.

The reason it slows down is because JIT uses up alot of ram, which the G1 has a very limited amount of.

@GadgetRumble What is JIT, and I do I turn it off. My myTouch3g doesn't move anywhere as fast as this G1 does. Everytime I press home, it takes about 5 seconds to even load all the apps and etc. Street View on the Maps did not come included, when I try downloading from market, it keeps saying unsuccessful.

Any help on these matters would be greatly appreciated.

@14karthik well it depends on how much your willing to spend. Because if you got 200 bucks then get either the nexus one or the vibrant for t mobile, and the wildfire is better then the G1. You have to remember it was the first ever android phone and is no longer being suported by google.

@14karthik The issue is not in the processor its just that the wildfire has 384mb or ram while the G1 has 192mb of ram, and that is very frustrating. Plus wildfire comes with sense, so get that one. It will save you a lot of headache. But im not sure if the wildfire is rooted.
