Ah the Mother series. What can you say about it other then a Masterpiece. All three of them (yes even Mother 1) are fantastic unconventional RPG's that really don't get nearly as much credit as they deserve.

Mother/EarthBound 0 = Great Game

Mother 2/EarthBound = Fantastic Game

Mother 3 = As perfect as a video game will get.

@zuppermati98 and earthbound mother 2 wasnt depressing. The last boss is u fighting a fetus. Mother 3 is way better and the sadness of the game is what makes it so good. To kill your own brother due to the inevitable loss of him on your side. Its so symbolic of sibling rivalry and the game is beautifully detailed with moments like this. Good and bad. They need to make a 3d earthbound. Just think of the possibilities.

@SlamTheLabel i'd like to see mother on wii u: for me it could be better . Anyway mother 2 is not depressive and repeat with me: GIYGAS IS NOT A FETUS BUT A MENTAL MANIFESTATION OF THE GIYGAS OF MOTHER 1.

@SlamTheLabel Giygas isn't a fetus...Giygas is an alien who became so consumed with evil and power that he couldn't maintain his mind or physical body, and he can't be defined by humans. His attacks are so bizarre and powerful that you can't understand what they are, and he has the power to take over the minds of humans and animals alike, and make them do whatever he wants them to do. You should give Giygas a bit more credit then just being a fetus.

@TheDrunkenBooma just look at the screen when fighting giygas and tell me thats not a fetus. Yes i realize its an alien but it symbolizes aborting a baby. The baby being the birth of the end. I realize what gigyas is and yes hes not just a fetus hes the abyss hes what we dont know the impending doom of the world. I've played the game man. Simply said gigyas is one of the darkest nintendo final bosses. I love mother and im not dissing him at all. I wish he had appeared in ssbb

@TheDrunkenBooma ya and besides mother gets very little rep. There have only been 3 games in the series and nintendo still hasnt put any of them on the virtual console.

@SlamTheLabel Mostly because of copyright reasons...but Mother 3 really had no excuse :/ that should've been a worldwide release even if the reception in other countries for EB wasn't that great.
