  • Holy-Terrorist:>*=* ANFO LMAO xD

  • Well this is fucking weak video!

  • What % of ammonium nitrate should be coverd in diesel fuel?

  • about (by wieght(i think)) about 6 %

  • 60:40 by weight and not whats ones 60 or 40.

  • you mean

What % of diesel fuel should be coverd in ammonium nitrate ^^

  • oops :P

  • JewTubeDidWTC, your comment on natural selection is brilliant

  • why because i like explosions safe american not crazy whatever its out there

  • how do they make ammonium nitrate?? what is it like fertilizer and diesel fuel if som what are the ratios, what the hell kind of fertilizer do you have to do any refining is it true you can fill a coffee can and shoot it and have an explosion any body know???

  • 1) I don't know the ratios, 2) If I did, I wouldn't tell you, you sound crazy, and 3) you sound crazy.

  • xD Owned

  • This information is readily available. but YOU shouldn't have it.

  • Ammonium Nitrate can be bought as fertilizer, but it's usually of too low grade to be a good explosive, and it's also covered with a clay outside that needs to be washed off with alchohol, NOT WATER, as AN is hydrophilic and any water will ruin it. According to Wikipedia, 2-3 quarts of fuel oil per 50 pounds is recommended. Fuck you all who said he shouldn't know this or he's crazy, information should be free.

  • You just gave him most information on how to make a powerful explosive (ofcourse, he doesn't know how to detonate it with boosters and all, but leave that for now).. Say, in a year, you get a comment on your account from his parents, saying he tried to make an explosive but blew himself up and died a horrible death..

    What then?

If you knew this would happen, would you still have told him?

Sorry, just had to say this..

  • If he was stupid enough to make explosives incorrectly and blow himself up, it's just natural selection at work. I'd guess you're the kind of person that thinks kids should just be told to absolutely not touch any guns, and of course they'll do the exact opposite, because you didn't teach them gun safety. Knowledge should be free. Get fucked.

  • I'm a kid myself, but wouldn't want any others to get hurt this way.

If you let him do some research in stead of just telling him how to make it, he will come across the power and the things around it too. Which I think it's better. You should've told him the rest as well. Unless you want him to get killed or so?

  • I'd say it's better to get the info from someone who know what they are doing to a degree than sources on the internet. Shit like the Anarchist Cookbook are terrible resources, and making some of the things they way they do in there would get you killed.

  • Yes it's better to get info from someone who knows about it, but do you?

And that person should also tell him what it is and how to handle it.

What is your experience in explosives then? Ever had an accident? Ever even produced an actual explosive?

  • Listen, I'm not going to discuss this anymore. ANFO is a relatively safe explosive. It's actually hard to get it to go off, you could hit it with a hammer or even set a match to it and it wouldn't detonate. If you want a reliable source, you can find TM 31-210 Improvised Munitions Handbook for free on the internet. It's a military produced manual that details all about making explosives from common ingredients. The methods are tested and safe.

  • Ofcourse it's safe and hard to get it go off. That's not the point. But the blasting caps and boosters needed for this are the dangerous thing, and he'll just look up how to make such things and do it.

    The point really is,

that if he doesn't know anything about HE's, you shouldn't get him into it.

Please fuck off, and think before you post such comments.

  • He would have looked it up anyway douchebag, and probably gotten dangerous info. Why don't YOU think before you post retarded judgmental bullshit. Keeping people in ignorance is one of the greatest sins you can commit.

  • ROFL mercury

  • I mean MAgnesium Lol

  • Way to go man.

One less asshat to worry about killing someone else besides himself.

  • @papakeetee If you tried you would wind up blowing yourself up...amonium nitatre is not safe atoll ecspcialy when you add shit to it...

  • @papakeetee You can buy it as a fertilizer. The ratio is 95% AN by weight to 5% Fuel by weight, and you can shoot it to make it detonate, but it requires a high-powered rifle.

Oh, and making it is illegal, so have fun with the law, kid.

  • @papakeetee It is called tannerite you can buy it legally go to tannrite.com like 89.00 bucks for 10 bottles of the stuff. Joseph T fly2000jtb

  • @papakeetee no you cant shoot it and explode its made with nh3 and hno3 no ratio just pour deisel over AN and no refineing

  • Sodium Cyanide...Mmm, Mmm, can I lick the spoon?

  • I did some work in mine/quarry blasting. I worked in a relatively small gold mine (to world scale). We would spend months just filling in the holes of one shot with explosives (ANEP, Ammonium Nitrate Emulsion Phase). Therewould be about 2,000-10,000 holes in one shot - the holes were about 300mm wide by 30m deep.

  • You do the math, that is one huge blast. We would easily pump 200 ton a day. And the mining industry doesnt use any Ammonium Nitrate based explosive that is more powerful than ANFO. ANEP takes alot more time and money to manufacture but it has a much longer shelf life and isnt water soluble.

  • What is ANEP it does'nt sound like an explosive what do u mean with the emulsion phase bit.

  • And you would be an authority on this how?

Emulsion phase (EP) is what we added to AN with a gasser (liquid that reacts with AN to produce air bubbles). EP is a off-white colored, thick goop about the same consistency of grease. Its a mix of AN, fossil fuel and a few other additives i cannot recall. It produces a bit less power than ANFO but it is water resistant and takes years to break down.

  • I was just asking because Emulsion phase doesent really sound like an explosive to me but thanks any way for explaining.

  • Thanks everyone for the comments... for the record, I got the information about the explosives mass from the mine staff in person while recording this, so unless they had cause to lie to me, it's accurate. This is a relatively small shot for them. You're right, 100,000 pounds on the surface probably WOULD have vaporized me, but this is a lesson in just how heavy the ground is! The explosives were buried deep, which is why you only got a small lift at the surface.

  • you can buy it it's called kinepak

  • The OK city bombing wasn't ANFO, it was a mixture of Ammonium Nitrate and Nitromethane racing fuel...

  • that's called ANNM

  • I know this =P

  • maybe a tonne at best. Or just low quality ANFO. Because 100,000 pounds of ANFO would have probably vaporized you, your camera, and most of the mine itself. Or if not, you wouldn't have eardrums anymore. Either way, I could have made a bigger explosion with maybe a hundred pounds of flash powder.

  • Obviously its nto for show ,it's not about the bang its about displacement

  • that must be like 1,000,000,000 pounds u naap

  • lol its to small for 100.000 pounds

  • lol mine is bigger^^

  • 100,000 pounds? sure?

  • LOL yeh i think hes just a tad out with the measurements, if that was 100,000 pounds of ANFO, it would of taken out the whole side of the mine lol. Also to the maker of the video, the Oklahoma bombing was not a straight ANFO, a bit more sophisticated than that, A variant of ANNM. Straight ANFO is considerably inferior in power to other variants of AN explosive.

  • We regularly shoot 2.5 to 3 million pounds of this stuff at a time. Makes the same seismic foot print as an underground nuclear detonation. Our largest shot, just shy of 8 million pounds required observance by the UN, China and Russia. Ever see Blast Masters on the Discovery channel? That is our stuff going off in the Black Thunder Mine.

  • 8million pounds!??! .....4,000 TONS? HOLY SHIT were you guys doing? obviously China was worried..They thought you were gonna knock them off on the other side!!

  • mining coal so y'all can have 'lectricity fo' yo' 'ppliances!

  • mine is generated by hydropower hahaha

  • Don't be so sure. You have no idea where your power is being purchased from or how it is generated. Just beause you might have a hydro plant nearby means nothing. We have a coal plant here (yathink?) that sells entirely to PP&L customers. Our city buys its power from somewhere in South Dakota and Kansas. And we have 13 coal mines in the area and soon will have 4 more power plants here.

  • not true, 100k lbs is enough ANFO to break 220000tonnes of granite, or about 100k cubic metres...a block 80yards by 80yards by 15yards deep, larger for softer rock
