  • Yeah a good operator never digs over the finals. always dig over the idler.

  • Obviously not on production rates . And You should have your drives to the rear It adds weight and if old mate digs up his sprockets a final drive is costly to replace !!!

  • @tizzdizz its my dad operating and the bucket can hold 15 yards.

  • how many yards can that bucket hold?

  • if you run track hoe long you put the drive motor in front better to back up all the weight on them so do it you will see we are maying easy on us/////////////

  • po co gosc leje mu wodą po łyżce???

  • He is digging against his motor drive sprockets. Isnt that a no-no?

  • how come that operator can't get a full bucket?

  • I wish all of our end dumps had sideboards like those. Fucking fillem up

  • i worked on all of those machines. haha. they wer fun to drive and work on. Empire CAT. hell ya.

  • There are two reasons that water is sprayed on excavated material. The obvious one is dust control. Less obvious, but more important is to facilitate compaction. If the fill is being used to support a roadway, parking lot, building pad, etc it must be compacted as it is placed to avoid settling after the fact. Typical construction specs call for 95% of maximum potential compaction. That can only be achieved with moderate amounts of moisture in the mix.

  • @jserra17 you are absolutely correct, I hate having to massage fill to get it to the optimum moisture to compact... its really time consuming.

  • Guy in the water truck sure has a boring job.

  • Great video I work for Cat dealer in Scotland and really appreciate your work here, well done

  • Love that yellow paint.

  • Do they have something against full buckets?

  • Comment removed

  • Keeping the direct dust from digging down and as the fill area is pretty tight saves getting in the way whilst the ten is trying to spread the material, some moisture content obviously required in the fill.

  • Ok thanks.

  • Dust control.

CA is real big on keeping the dust to a minimum. When I worked there a few years ago, helicopters from the Air Quality Management District would fly by a few times a day, and if they spotted a considerable amount of dust coming from the job then they'd write the company a $25,000 fine.

  • @kyleadvance That's a pain in the ass

  • @kyleadvance so the company wastes $30,000 on water

  • @PaTrIcKat1995 No, a $25,000 fine if they don't use enough water to control the dust.

  • Gavin got that dead on

  • i think to remove the dust or to lessen it, right?

  • @CataniaD6Kfan im thinking to keep the dust down.

  • des gepipse nerft

  • @SchoschHans a bissl scho xD

  • @CataniaD6Kfan I would think to keep the dust down .

  • @CataniaD6Kfan assuming to add moisture to the fill

  • @CataniaD6Kfan for the dust .....

  • Repowered with the same model engine from the factory or different model engine than from the factory?
