I love how Sean Devine always looks overly happy when he sings!! It makes me enjoy it that much more! He looks like he is thoroughly enjoying what he does! Not many people can do that!
@sexxxymarcher8010 the bass is the always fantastic Cory Hunt from the fabulous city of Sparks, NV!! he has been amazing from the first day i met him, and just as short lol=)
in my humble opinion the lead was dead on on his last note (post). It is on the "higher end" of the note which is what we all have been told to achieve. He was pitchy (as the Randy of American Idol) at 1:56-1:58 ("in whose arm you're gonna be)
marchlarson - it is YOU who is out-of-line. OCT are not gods. They are singers. And regardless of the performance, that arrangement is a MESS. It is a definitive example of a contrived barbershop arrangement forced on an otherwise fine song. And lest you deride me as an amature(sic) I was both a certified Arrangement judge and a certified Music judge. That junk is one of the reasons I don't judge anymore.
lol first of all, i said that just to see if someone like you would do exactly what you're doing so thanks for the laughs. and secondly, it's C-R-I-T-I-Q-U-E, and A-M-A-T-E-U-R, and thirdly, i love the oc times and i'm going to take a wild guess that you're in fact NOT their official defender of criticism. plus all musicians are supposed to understand that they're putting themselves up for criticism...so i can say what i want.
being sharp is a half step above the certain note. which he wasn't. He was running out of breath and pushed the very end to keep the tag, otherwise he would have stopped and his other three partners would have kept going...
And by the way, you're absolutely misinformed if you think that you have to be an entire half step above the desired pitch to be sharp. Have you ever heard of a quarter tone? My guess is no.
you cant hear any change in the tone, besides stress....and even though music is not what i have been trained in. I sure know that it is very inconsiderate for people like you to be so rude, when you could simply give a reasonable explanation instead of a statement that is so harsh.
You can seriously hear how much OCT' sound has got better! This is bloody good, but then look at when they sang 'Look at me now' fricking amazing! i love this quartet, I really want to hear their finals ballad again! It was different to the charts they usually sing, i think anyway :) Is there any footage Shawn? Thanks Carl

@aklarcia i agree, he went flat, if he backed off on the note it would have fit. but still well done

I think it's kind of funny that this little argument right here derived from me saying "lead goes sharp in the end."

Sharp, no.
Vibrato from pushing, yes.
