You have to change the heat intenstity or whatever. There is a screw you have to turn. It is like on the side of the laser. If you can't see it maybe you have to open it? Not sure but I know there is a screw.

i bought this laser pointer when i was at the beach in thailand , it was a 50mw laser pointer that had a green light, i cant find any matches or balloons at home right now, so i cant try this method, but, i dont think it will happen anything cause i've tried to point the light on my hand but it doesn't hurt, and i have also put an black dot on the skin but nothing happens... i bought the laser pointer for 500 baht !

In the laser industry its prettymuch u get what you pay for. If you want a really pro 50mw go for optotronics. The cheapest high quality lasers available :) Their lasers are always over spec with very good diverage and diode life time. They use n-Light high quality diodes made in the US.

The 55+mw one can burn matches and usually has an output power of atleast 60mw :)
