I received a better education at my community college, where the state actually paid me to attend. Subsequently I had to move on to a four year university (and used the money to pay for it). Even though my senior college had small classes it still exhibited many of the traits of a large university.
im finishing up my science degree in canada and ive had these views for many years. most of my teachers in the intro classes but once you get higher up they are decent
In a "classroom" of 400 students the only individuals who stand a chance to learn are autodidactic--so why spend the $400.00 per credit hour?
