Well-done! That "side-pony-tail-look" was incredibly popular with my neices in California and one of my neighbors....circa 1987-ish accompanied with an over-the-top, huge, glittery bow. It looks so weird now, but back then, girls were truly wearing their hair that way...along with the crispy, big-hair-dos which came in a wide (excuse the pun) variety of styles. Big Hair meant many different looks. I was a teen in the early 60s. I've seen MANY styles of big, bodacious hair-dos.
