I still find British Music better in general right now. Manchester/Liverpool. great American music is all underground right now. There's a tv vid of Jim Morrison talking about the future of music. How He was afraid (this back in 68) that electronics such as vocal filters (like Autotune?) or drum/midi machines would replace real instruments. Moog and Roland Juno's are synthesizers but still played like a piano. So they're more experimental where as micro layering tracks and sampling, SUCK!!

Paul Weller is awesome too..sorry I left him out. But he's still with us and I hope he is for a while. I read he tried to bring back Mod during the forming of punk and in essence one could credit him to "post punk" or dark wave as others call it. The Jam is in a class of its own. I just label crap cause it's easier to place it in a sub category.. also it makes it easier to find music in stores. One of the few times I'm sad I didn't keep up on modern music. I would have enjoyed this.
