  • Inhofe is the worst of the Republican senators by far. A total asshole of the lowest order with a track record of gross asshattery. Beyond hypocrisy, beneath contempt.

  • asshattery is a perfect word to describe this repulsive fellow.

  • In other words, James Inhofe is reason enough to flush the republicans down the toilet (put them in jail) but we really shouldn't stop until they are all in front of a firing squad.....with bush(the whole family!), cheney, rumsfeld, rove. All terrorist criminals destroying America. Hold em to the fire!

  • I couldn't agree MORE!!!!

  • We have increased welfare ( jobless benefits ) because a lot more people need it you ignorant idiot! I understand ,Senator, that you disagree with the policy but guess what? YOU AND YOUR PARTY LOST THE ELECTION! Did you watch it? It wasn't even close, Senator. If you want to disagree on the way Democrats run things that if fine. But don't sit there and simply lie out of your teeth. That is why your in the minority in the FIRST PLACE! /rant over

  • He's switched priorities around in the budget. Obama is cutting useless things like Inhofe's pet project that was described and focusing on other areas.

But it wouldn't matter to somebody like Inhofe anyway, they'll always accuse a Dems of gutting the military whether they do it or not. It isn't that it's true, what matters is how many times it's said and how many people will blindly believe it. Classic GOP strategy.

  • The GOP seems to have a kind of sketchy relationship with truth.

  • what in the world is "increasing all these well-fare's?" republicans play book so old and played out oooooooooooooooo well-fare=dirty minorities i got that line back in '89 i was born in '82 get a new play book or end up like the Detriot Lions "Perfect Losers"

  • Since this clip doesnt say why its more, or where the different parts of the budget have been changed compared to before, people shouldnt criticise it yet.

They are cutting major weapons spending, which is billions alone. Is it being moved and money being added on to soldier benefits of any kind?

As far as I know, contractor spending will be decreasing also though i dont know if that used to be in military budget

It would be nice if a news organisation did its job and did break down the numbers

  • There are certain expensive weapons (cold war weapons) will come to end. There was a sub that cost near 5 billion a piece. That's just ridiculous. That's where the cuts are going to be...

  • if we cut down on our supply of nukes as obama is working toward, that may cost us alot short term but also save us more long term in lower servicing costs.

I think people who complain about money alone are ignorant and misguided.

Its not just about money spent, but where its spent thats important.

It is quite possible to spend alot short term to save even more long term.

    Its like buying solar.

Its actually possible for solar to pay off long term as they last up to 30 years.

  • Way I hear it Obama was going to be spending more in housing for the troops and less in weapons. Also in hospitals. And he already gave a LOT to the veterans.

The GOP only cares for US soldiers while they are fighting, and only as long as they don't speak against the fighting. Once they are out of the army they can rot. And if their living conditions in the army are bad they can go screw themselves. It is the army not the boy scouts!

    Nice people the Republicans.

  • excellent reply

  • Obama should make more cuts in military spending. This was one of the wise moves Clinton made when he made cuts due to the fact that the Cold War had ended. Our budget puts more of a priority on the military than on education, health care, and any other domestic policy issue. I would much rather be 2 times as strong as the next strongest military spending country and focus on domestic spending than carelessly being 10 times as strong and see domestic issues being neglected.

  • Not only that we have to bring back 500,000 marines from as farf away as Germany, South Korea, etc

  • "More" cuts? He's going to have to make a cut first, before he can make "more" cuts.

  • Lol. Indeed.
