June or July is the best time when it it light until late. Mid to late May is good too and less crowded.

@nothingelse4u When Peter the Great the Czar of Russia he made St.Petersburg the Capital of Russia. In 1712, Peter the Great wanted this city to be great so Trade will increase from Europe. That is when St. Petersburg university was built. And today St. Petersburg is getting a lot of new innovations.

Yes as far as i know they are ,during the second world war most of the priceless artifacts were moved by rail before the terrible siege the hermitage museum is one of the best in the world.

I love my city so much! Although winter is so awful here because of the snow melting and mixing with salt and sand on the road and its disgusting.i hate it so much! so the best time to visit st.-petes is of course summer!!
