Mine flies the same way - not an easy plane to hover even with the CF 100mm. The long tail makes the rudder response kinda slow. It harriers nicely though.
Has some pull towards the gear in a knife edge. Overall it is still a fun plane to fly. I've had mine seven years and it has hundreds of hours on it. Still has original 4S Polyquest pack in it and a Hobbyking outrunner. Never a major crash - it just keeps going and going...
