  • Outstanding song! There's no place (band) like Kansas!

  • Great early KANSAS

  • Spiritual lyrics? American- Kansas British- Moody Blues. Kerrys and the rest of these musical virtuosos lyrics are everymans ( and womans) search for meaning in an insane world. Steves" All the World" and Kerrys Miracles Out of Nowhere should be 'required' airtime on all Sat radio, Fm. Song for America should be our national anthem

The Moodies were overshadowed by Zep, Stones and Pink Floyd Genesis etc, yet together and solo had no peers. Check out Greame Edge Bands lyrics

  • I hear a Neil Young tune,of all things, here mixed in one of the verses !!

  • APERCU look up the meaning .... this is why Kansas is more moving to me than Yes

  • woops Robby not Robbie ... my apologies Robby......

  • but i think Robbie might be singing lead here (which fits the song)

  • a fucking masterpiece!

  • we few, we happy few, we band of brothers. For those who share love for this masterpiece is truly my brother.

    Each man has a memory

Much more than the eye can see

Yet still others linger deep inside you

Haunting thoughts of pain and joy divide you

    Look beyond your eyes

At the dark and moody skies

For they're standing in your way

And I feel the light of day

  • One of my absolute favorite Kansas songs. If I had to pick 4, they'd be this one, Icarus (Borne on Wings of Steel), The Pinnacle, and Song For America. What awesome musicianship, sadly not seen very often these days.

  • This song has a very pronounced Yes or European prog feel. That can't be said for too many Kansas songs!

  • @rickyon YES nor ELP has nothing on these guys ..they have always wrote very spiritual lyrics and their uniqueness is inspiring with classical mixed with rock and roll roots besides i think walsh's voice is a hell of alot more moving than anderson's

  • Great Video Michael !

     =YES YOU KAN= !

  • Thanks Matthew!

  • Man, this sure is cool, one of my faves from the first album, but then again, they are all great. Btw, if you haven't got the DVD yet, pick it up as soon as you can.

  • Thanks Paul. Do you mean "There's Know Place Like Home"? I'm not sure if it's available here in Germany but I'll try to get it :-)

  • Michael, That was really great! So enjoyable! You did an outstanding job with this video.

    Matt

  • Thank you, Rick! You're right, I'm really having fun making these videos :-)

    Michael.

  • Wow, Wow, Wow ! Michael. This was so well thought out. Each photo being absorbed into the music. Having it's own place. Wanted to tell you about my favorite parts in this song, then it came to me.....favorite parts are...between 0:00 and 9:45. But have to give recognition mostly to Bass, Violin, Vocals. You really outdid yourself on this one Michael. Don't thank us for watching...thank you for your time putting this together with the professionalism it displays. JJS

  • Thank you very much for your nice words, Jerry! It was my most difficult video to make so far but in the end it was worth it :-)

    Michael.

    Great video !!

  • Thank you, Dave! New videos will follow soon :-)

    Michael.
