Dont know about the killed Ossetians, its probably not 1400 since those were estimated numbers. The official list of dead counts several hundred names though and many are still missing. The fact that there are less dead than expected doesnt justify Georgian actions you know. That was pretty much an ethnic cleansing, or was supposed to be. Why did the Russians rebuild the railways and build up forces in Abkhazia and in Pankisi Gorge? Why were Russians troops and tanks stationed on the oher side of the Roki Tunnel for several weeks. - The Georgian villages north of Tskhinvali: 2211 Buildings = 619 destroyed + 201 severely damaged + 1391 with no visible damage.

Dont know about the killed Ossetians, its probably not 1400 since those were estimated numbers. The official list of dead counts several hundred names though and many are still missing. The fact that there are less dead than expected doesnt justify Georgian actions you know. That was pretty much an ethnic cleansing, or was supposed to be. I give 99% that Georgian soldiers themselves wanted to harm as little civilians as possible since many of them are Georgians. Kind of killing your own ppl.

I was in Gori and I am a "NEUTRAL" observer. Gori was destroyed, except for Stalin's Statue. Apartment buildings by the hundreds were destroyed All "critical" infrastructure was destroyed. The Russians claimed they used "laser" munitions, aparment building were NO WHERE near the military installations in Gori. I saw many DEAD Georgians that were laying in the streets days after the bombings and Russians soldiers "smoking" cigarettes taking pictures laughing at their "trophies".
