I LOVE Rod Taylor. As a teenager I found him attractive and loved his smile, forty years later I still have a mad crush on him. He is the one that has charisma, charm and is 100% pure hombre! Give me Rod any time.
@AidaJof I too, fell hard after watching the Birds, then Hotel and many others Chuka, the time machine, oh yeah and sunday in new york, which I hope one day they will release so I can have it on dvd....he could just stand there as far as I'm concerned...L.
Rod will always be remembered for "The Time Machine," a movie that has heart and character unlike the 2002 version. He always played his roles with dedication and professionalism and conducted himself as a true gnetleman off screen. Not too many like him today!
@bogoslovni I really liked the Time Machine movie. And the thing that made it all come together so well was Russell Garcia's beautiful music score IMO. You sound like you were privy to off screen activity.
@Ear4Beauty garcia had a record called ill never forget whats her name [the drowning scene in the time machins sounds like it was influenced by the storm from peter grimes by britten.].
I watched the Time Machine and The Birds with my dad as a boy-he said Yvette Mimeaux and Tippi Hedron (sp) were very pretty-and they are. But I was so into Rod-gay at age 9
One of the most handsome men alive. I love him!

I've seen a majority of Rod Taylor's movie. I didn't have a chance to watch
The Oregon Trail though. I was wondering if he could download this movie.
I believe it wasmade in 1975 before it came a tv series of 6 episodes.

Rod would have made a great James Bond!
He was also offered the Omar Shariff part in Dr Zhivago and the Charlton Heston role in Planet of the Apes!
George Clooney is the closest Hollywood has today that comes close to Mr Taylor!!
I hope he gets a part in the re-make of The Birds, which will have Naomi Watts in it.
Maybe he could have the role of the bird expert that was originally played by a woman in Hichcock's version?

Rod Come Back! No. Rod is an actor that is not underrated, because I rate him and if that is not good enough, then tanks for this.
I liked it, thanks for your work.

The Clooney of his day. 1-800-TOO-FINE...that's what I'm saying. Go to his site
find the pic of him fishin' in Glass Bottom Boat, then wrap yourself in plastic...you're gonna need it. Such charisma and ease.
