I'm kinda thinking the only Rare Earth imprint hit Gordy had with the label besides Rare Earth (the band) was maybe R. Dean Taylor's "Indiana Wants Me"...am I right?
I'd say this one and XIT's "Plight Of The Red Man" are my two fave lesser-known Rare Earth label faves besides Pretty Things, UFO, Toe Fat and Rare Earth themselves...
@mellotrongirl Motown's Rare Earth imprint did have some incredible shit on it. It's a shame that Berry Gordy didn't know how to market it correctly (along with the jazz and blues stuff Motown had)....
thaaaank you!!! for the upload dude, enjoying this like a sumo loves eating, i cant get enough, post more if u can man, and once again thanks for uploading.
cool. i noticed them in a insert for a rare earth album with other artist on the lable. they wher eone of them. wild how the rare earth lable was part of mowtown. and normen witfield rote for rare earth. i thin its one of my favoret labils too. many grate ground brakeing bands. like XIT
So what are he - and his Zeus-mates - doing nowadays?
Tell him he may wanna talk to Harry Weinger at Motown about doin' a CD reissue gig with this - along with fellow Motown mates like Matrix, Magic, Riot, Fresh, and The Impact of Brass.
And Terashirma (A.K.A. The Brothers Terrana) if yer reading this...ya need ta put in yer tuppence, too!
Yes, effindi, P.O.Z. very much *were* ahead of their time

A raw and epic masterpiece. What an album. Putting to shame all the nu metal slobbers and all the pseudo-hard and wild fake metal bands. Eat dust

Yay, I've heard this band's song (don't remember the title) in polish radio, good one. Reminds me Deep Purple, great piece of music.

I love hearing this song while tripping. It makes me feel spiritually charged. The solo is just incredible.

I'll be discussing this with Harry in the near future.

OMG! Never thought I'd see/hear *this* one on YouTube...or *anywhere* in the *world*, for that matter!
This was from an LP on Motown (The Rare Earth label, to be specific) and produced by The Brothers Terrana (Russ & Ralph, engineers at Motown).
This is an UBER-MEGA-ULTRA-RAVE-FAVE of mine..
Thanx fer it, m8..

You're surprised???!!!!!
This is my cousin's band.
We keep telling him that the album is doing better now than back when. He doesn't believe me.
Guess they were ahead of their time.
