  • the disturbing part is that i didnt see one person working in there. See, in the future people wont be workers we'll all be repairmen/repair women, that just repair the bots that do this work for us.

  • I fucking love the music

  • 'For every 10% of what .... the factory saves 2% more energy? Couldn't understand what he said, was it cullet?

  • i wanna know how they make the machine that makes the bottle lol

  • So, glass is made from recycled glass?

  • @cloverkong

The real question is what is recycled glass made from

  • @cloverkong A part of the mixture "can" be a percentage of recycled glass. What is the problem? If you dnt want to add recycled glass, you dont.

  • Or let the robots take the "jerrrbs" so we don't have to. That way we can kick back, relax and concerntrate on learning and improving everything.

  • As Seen On: ????????????

  • how is it transparent

  • WE ARE WINE BOTTLLEEESSSS!!!

  • Thats my company! I work around the inspection machines. its pretty cool :)

  • I swear there are trolls just pissing people off by disliking it. It's epic and informative! Who would hate it?!

  • I miss the ORIGINAL theme and opening sequence.

  • I wonder the guy who discoverd to make glass "K guys this is my new recipe of beign a jackass, pour all these ingrident and wait. until it melts." "holy shit i made glass"

  • My husband works in the hot end making these bottles. This is his plant actually in Tracy, Ca :)

My husband and I were upset that they didn't show any of the swabbing and the skill it takes to work this section....for shame!

  • My husband works in the hot end making these bottles. This is his plant actually in Tracy, Ca :)

  • why all these videos only shows machines?? where are the true manual laborer?? im currently working as a hot end quality controller. I.S FORMING OPERATORS are the best comrade to be with.. we can always laugh even its too noisy and to hot to work..

  • its very nice made

  • If you have any questions on glass manufacturing pm me i can probably give you an an answer.I work on that exact type of machine it called an IS machine stands for "individual section" which means we can shut one ssection down and it stops feeding gobs to that section so we can work on it while other sections stay running. I am an IS operator they should have shown what skilled labor we do daily to form bottles how its made disappointed me on this one.

  • @stoltz90 Hi stoltz90 I am Mahesh from India I was working on IS Maintananse last 25 year, Now opreting my own bussiness , Making ''C'' class over hauling. Niceto read you

  • I work on the forming machine and this video is forgetting the most important part.MY JOB we have to swab the machine where the glass falls in on the backside into blanks to form the parasin .You must swab the blanks so the gobs fall in correctly all while its running so you must be quick or lose fingers. You also have to swab the ring arm the thing that takes the parasin from back to blow mold.We also swab the blowmold bottom plate. But we basically run the machine if it jams up we pull glassout

  • THE TUNE USED BY THIS EPISODE (AND SEVERAL OTHER SHORTS) DRIVES ME CRAZY!!!! WHERE CAN I GET THIS TUNE??? OMG BEST TUNE EVER!!!

  • how is glass jewels made

  • Robots taking our jerrrrbs!!

  • @bzhxblue lol

  • a bottle factory makes me think of hell with all the fire and molten metal...

  • MEH BOTTLE OF SCRUMPEH!

  • 3:47 Lol the glass bottles are walking through hell xD

  • @x3IceJubei Newly-made glass products, be they bottles, cups, or jars, have to travel through flames on their way through the rest of the factory, otherwise, as the narrator said, they crack from thermal shock.

  • @DrejStinger1986 I thought they would crack 0.0

  • thats the life of a glass bottle

  • This is better than PORN!

  • @TheWickedEnd0851 idk porn is pretty great

  • @TheWickedEnd0851 what porn have you been watching?

  • @TheWickedEnd0851 i was watching porn then i thought " i wonder how they make glass bottles" and then i ended up here

  • Holy shit, are you serious? It looks like a steampunk sci-fi in hell.

  • when was that intro used? Ive never seen it

  • im trying to find the ingredients that he said in the beginning, but i can seem to find it because i dont know what their refrences were and i dont thinkg im even spelling the chemical correctly :( will someone please tell me the names? because im having difficulty finding it :(

  • its a fuking robocop factory

  • hehe lubricant =) like if you had a lil thought.

  • 5:17 for one bottle he missed many.

  • I maintain that camera looking into the furnace! A glass factory is one VERY hot place to work. Luckily I'm an instrument techie :)

  • @blasphemylolz

You have no Idea how hot lol. I happen to work at a glass factory, And yes it is very, very hot. lol. Sometimes as hot as 150 degrees F, luckily the company I work for has air conditioned booths for us to cool off in so we don't over heat and die.

  • its just me that, gets turned on by heavy mecatronic machinery? @1:50 its just hot...

  • HD my ass

  • if your angry this is he job 4 u

  • Thats so CCCOOOOLLL!

  • all of the examples are alchohol

  • How did they make glass bottles back in the 1800s and 1900s????

  • What if one of those "gobs" flew off of the track and hit someone in the face? lol no more face for them.

  • @Bebothereaper96 I worked in a factoy like that for 2 1/2 years and never saw a gob fly off.

  • The Gods must be crazy!

  • Good LORD the machinery they use for this!

  • WHY IS TECHNOLOGY SO GOD DAMN AMAZING?!?!?

  • Thank you for the glass bottle factory workers...you got the hottest job litterally! without you all...no beer/wine/etc for us...Salut to you all

  • The man in 5:03 has got nice job

  • @Jeapop145 On night shift at 3:00 in the morning you can almost fall asleep, believe me.

  • 4:13 BOWLING!!!!

  • @manymifi1 LOL

  • hey whats this music?!!! Song?!!!

Its so awesome, you know, it gives me that whole 'blade runner', superfuture advanced robotics feeling....

  • WOW, GO HUMANS!!!!!!!!

    YEAH!

  • I loved and miss the Orginal opening.

  • How are there seven dislikes on a video about facts; not opinions?

  • And they say Agriculture was the biggest revolution. For me it will always be Insdustrial Revolution, those machines always impress me!

  • One thing goes wrong at around 4:08 and holy crap...

I could watch this all day though.

  • wait wait how can anyone dislike this?

  • @willtoulan 8 people work at the bottle factory.

  • anyone can do it...

  • 1:57

    laser guns xD

  • How can they be green if they're coloured :S

  • One of the best in the "How It's Made" series.

  • How is coca cola made?

  • I am now watching how its made on tv and computer. WIN

  • I love how it's made.

  • dam tecnologly u bootiful

  • its a good their not hand made

  • 1:50 - 2:08 laser beams...

  • I wonder how many glass bottles break there, per day...

  • @SYNYSTERx1 2

  • @SYNYSTERx1 Imagine per YEAR lol

  • @SYNYSTERx1 probrably not all that often, though if i was the guy who had to clean it up, id much rather slip on pee than on broken shards of glass...

  • @SYNYSTERx1 I work at O-I bottling co. I think thats who's in the video. we break anywhere from 250,000 to over a million bottles a day. Good thing we can re-use it! :)

  • @SYNYSTERx1 OVER 9,000 i guess

  • Kinda looks like the droid farctory in star wars.....

  • the intro to this show is so retarded, but this show is the BEST

  • imagine it one bottle falls-__-

  • no fucking way

  • If all that is true, why is everyone switching to plastic bottles from glass?

  • @xLexC7x plastic is the cheapest way, but you should know the problems with plastic (otherwise watch plastic planet)

  • @xLexC7x

    well cheaper than glass.

  • this was back when the rateings was higher and it was better

  • How it's made : Babies

  • I work for a glass manufacturing company that has locations all over the world. For those asking about how hot it gets in there. It is extremely warm. During August in Pennsylvania the Hot End of the factory reaches 150+ degrees. Those talking about the speed...Our machines produce beer bottles at 431/min. It really is an amazing process yet very dangerous.

  • what happens if there's an earthquake near the factory?

  • wow that's so amazing

  • SO THAT'S WHERE BEER BOTTLES COME FROM!!!! =D ... lol

  • ahhh i wish i was a glass bottle

  • Glass is what we call SAND!!

  • They keep the ingredients in glass bottles. :D

  • so...many..bottles...

  • Dominoes :D@ 4:25

  • three drop

  • I just saw a vid on glass pipe blowing and I'm in awe of the craftsmanship of glass making.

I checked this out too because I was curious how glass bottles are mass produced.

Both methods are amazing! Looks hot and dangerous though.

I love the green aspects, material comes from nature and are recyclable, along with consumes less energy to make, when used with partial recycable glass!!

Yay for glass!!! I would love to take a glass blowing class or work in a glass factory :)

  • It's really ironic that some of the "greenest" products and processes are ones that have been around for years. Cotton is renewable, glass can be recycled and electric motors had their origins in the 1800's.

  • I will never look at my bottles the same again.

  • i feel like i can do it now, thank you

  • Thank God, I killed my curiosity =)

  • @AceHalford good for you. Now your cat will be safe until the neighbors dog comes over.

  • An earthquake there wouldn't be good...

  • @ximendo nowhere an earthquake is good...

  • Thank you soooo much I need this for my A level DT work.

  • Great when zombies attack I will go to a bottle factory and make myself a million or billion molotove ready to kill a horde of zombies, tanks, witches, boomers, and jockeys.

  • I wish we would go back to glass jars, bottles, etc... Like he said, it's recycled endlessly, less energy to make than plastic, come on. Just teach your kids to be careful and not raise a bunch of nancy boys and we can get our glass back!

  • wooh. i need this. =)

  • Looks like stargate zpms :D

  • It's not how much u save, but how much u spend

  • enjoyed watching this video, what a speed.... wow

  • I used to work at a glass factory WHEN a IDIOT poured about 3 cups of BOILING glass on my ARM >.< hurts still...

  • @DIMATIF REALLY? O.O

  • @rodrigojoseunb what o you think? >.>

  • We should make a variety of sizes of beverages. This means we should make more smaller bottles. Smaller bottles are COOL! We tend not to finish our drinks.

  • I love watching those glowing blobs just speeding through the factory to the molds. If I were at the factory, I'd just stand there, staring at it lol!

  • I wonder how hard it would've been to make without these machines... damn.. they work fast!

  • If they use recycled glass to make glass... how was the first glass made? what came first the chicken or the egg? If a tree fell in the forest....

  • @brysonwilliams70 someone got some sand hot, it melted together, something like that.

  • @brysonwilliams70 you are mentaly retarded aren't you. think about what you said and tell me that isn't stupid. substitute the recycled glass with more of the main ingredients for glass and what do you get. regular glass you dumbfuck.

  • @sonyxploder if you know so much about glass making dipshit, why are you watching how glass is made? just to sound like you know wtf ur talking about?

  • @brysonwilliams70 why did you ask a stupid question you fucking retard?

  • Thanks a lot for sharing ...love frm India .

  • WTF , i never thought that something could be so complicated .

  • Why wow would you want a job looking at bottles all day.

  • not interested in bottles. just whats in them.

  • The narrator guy sounds sexy

  • 2:01 Lazers! lol

  • O_O....that a LOT of bottles.......

  • @saedaka88 learn to spell

  • My mothers sister works in glass factory.

i v been there once. Theres so hot.

  • Anyone who's travelled on underground train networks around the world could kearn alot from these bottles, they move in a orderly fashion without any problems. March of the Bottles!

  • wow it looks like the molten glass is shooting around haha

  • glass isgreen... until you throw it out.

  • Jack Daniels and coca cola

  • thankssssssssssssssssssssss!

  • You have to pay to recycle. You keep more money, buying trashbags and having the trashmen get it, than you do to recycle the shit. Being 'eco-friendly' is expensive.

  • Where I live, we're encouraged to recycle. We don't have to pay anything!

  • @sinnab0n lol same where i am...

  • jak się nazywa ta maszyna?? (1:51)

What is this machina?? (1:51) what is his name/appellation?? (I don t know how I should write what about i Thinking ;/) I would like read more about it. sorry for my "english"

  • i do this for a living and make very very good money. not all bottles travel threw flames. though the way we do it we set used oil swabs in a garbage can on fire and heat the conveyer belt. i certain shops such as our flint glass

  • Comment removed

  • Glass breaks easier. Ever have an accident where you dropped a glass cup which shattered? if your not careful to clean it all up your gonna get some glass in your foot eventually

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmm coke

  • I used to work in a plant like this and believe me you don't need a power surge for things to go haywire. All it takes is for a bottle fall over and within a short period there is glass everywhere. Not a pretty sight and a bitch to clean up.

  • lol. it would be funny if there was a power surge or something and the machines got all screwed so that the all the bottles ended up getting smashed as they fell to the ground.

  • "After the bottles leave the forming machine, they travel through flames..." LOL BADASS

  • ubber hardcore

  • 1:43 is cool look at it

  • I recycle! :pats self on back: . Well not only to help protect natural resources, but also because I don't like bums digging in my condo trash can at the beach. If you feed them they keep coming back, lol. I just pile bags up in the garage and take trips every few months. They money is just barely worth the drive and time though.

I HATE NASTY, RUDE DUMPSTER DIVERS THAT USED TO WAKE ME UP AT 3 AM CLANKING AROUND IN MY DIRTY AND SOMETIMES PERSONAL TRASH!!! GET A DAMN JOB AT A FAST FOOD PLACE!!

  • kneena88 doesnt like other bums raiding his cardboard box and taking his non-deposit booze bottles that he saves for a once a month trek on the city bus to recycle for spare change to buy more booze with
