This isn't really a problem with the Wii Fit, it is a problem with the BMI system. If you read about BMI online this problem is acknowledged. If you have a lot of muscle you will appear overweight, so for athletes BMI can be ignored usually.

@harlequine09 U.S. Army doesn't use BMI. What they do is they measure your weight and for guys: stomach and neck width and for girls, neck, wrist, and hip width. Thats how they calculate their fat percentage. Its close to accurate but one problem. When you lose weight, both your neck and your stomach goes down so if you have a smaller neck, it will say you're fatter. Makes no fucking sense.

Someone's taking this a liiittle too personally. The Wii board's purpose isn't to judge a 100% accurate BMI. It's main purpose is the balance technology that helps you play the games for the Wii Fit. It would be nice if they would give you the opportunity to manually change your BMI if you do a lot of weight training but it's hardly the end of the world.

I'm trying to strengthen my arms and legs, which will cause me to gain weight because of added muscle. Then my wii fit will say that I've gained weight and it'll tell me that that's not good because it can't differentiate between fat and muscle. hopefully they'll fix this in the future! in the mean time, I'm glad you made this video because it made me laugh out loud!
