  • Magistrales, para mí una de las mejores canciones de la historia

  • Get video. Brings back memories of seeing this excellent band live at Guildford Civic Hall in the mid 70's.

  • Great show, even if the video isn't in the best conditions...

  • certain parts of this song remind me of the who

  • flute and music in general can bring us sleep, too when sleep is an awakening to the rest that nurtures: the restive of a rebirth, momentary or millennial -- music shifts the gears of being, engages us into modes of reality, the ragas: scale modalities of our living -- music a miracle

  • like whistling, flute grabs your attention and moves us into an awareness, an awake state; drums hold our attention and give it a sustained sense of continuity; keys and strings nurture and grow our attention into a greater, nuanced awareness of our being in relation to the wider universe -- the interplay of dissonance and consonance expands our consciousness in its work to understand the world/ universe.

  • Camel's Snow Goose forms a cultural bridge to the programme music appeal of the Romantic era such as Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker, Grieg's Per Gynt Suite, and others, even classical and Baroque era works such as The Seasons by both Vivaldi and Haydn. Unify the genres of music and you make the genres more listener friendly -- we all gain much in this sharing of musical branches onto a greater tree of music.

  • this is strange ..i remember having a dream that Andy played a YAMAHA SG2000 about 28 years ago..but this is the only time i've seen him with one....

  • @clarabo Green Dream? :P

  • woo open the concert up with rhayader! love that flute....orgasm at the ears everytime i listen to it

  • *Thank You* for making history by posting CAMEL! omg amazing, I have been in Camel withdrawal for all these years. I'm talking long-lost vinyl.

  • Compare Camel to Silversun Pickups for lulz.

  • this is so bloody brilliant..thanks for posting this...what a band.

  • damnit, i want that double cutaway les paul...!!!

  • @WizardofFuzz its a yamaha sg2000 or sg3000....got one myself....amazing guitars.dam heavy though...some have the coiltaps on the tone pots which make it a very versatile guitar.

  • @WizardofFuzz It's a Yamaha SG, probably SG2000 or so. They are heavy as hell, but quite wonderful. Not so expensive as a Gibson though, so if you save your money and have patience you'll probably get your hands on a used one some day :)

  • if i could travel in time, i think i would go to this concert!! ;)

  • Super post!!

  • Fucking Amazing :D I Love Them!

  • just epic

  • vi adorooooo!!!!

  • What a masterpiece..especially "LIVE" ..

  • gotta love that dirty sexy sax

  • Beautiful Snow Goose was my initial introduction to Camel, and I first heard it on cassette tape whilst working in the marshland bordering Iraq and Iran in the mid-seventies. The theme was very relavant at the time, and it will stay with me forever.

  • Realy awesome, is the best of Camel, The Snow Goose, wooow is incredible.

  • this is beautiful ! is that richard sinclair on bass ?

  • Yep, Richard Sinclair on bass. Andrew Latimer on guitar and flute, Peter Bardens on the keyboards, Andy Ward on drums and Mel Collins on saxes and flute.

  • WOW, Great to find this one back after so many years :)

    Thanks !

  • Mel Collins plays flute together Latimer.

  • Camel have been my Favourite band EVER for the last 28 years and they still stand alone. No-one produces music with as much beauty in it as they do (moreso in the first six albums methinks). Seen em about 5 times, met andy once. Hey all this time Im been a fan and Ive NEVER read THE SNOW GOOSE by Paul Gallico until this week! You should try it folks! It adds a whole extra dimention to this album. What a masterpiece it is. What Genius's Andy, Pete,Andy and the rest of the band are.

  • Brilliant!! this is the firts time i hear them. Theres no time for music like the 70´s...

  • I heard this group now first time. Did I liked it? A lot! I've found something missed for many years...

  • andy on a yamaha sg3000! hihi

great version with the two flutes, very close to the original with orchestra

  • first band i ever saw live back in 1978 (I think)..Im filling up

  • my favorite progressive rock group

    THE BEST !!!!

  • excellent group

  • Andrew Latimer= the baest guitar player ever

Peter Bardens= the best keyboard player ever

    together= the best duo EVER!

    Get well soon Andy

RIP Peter Bardens, may your music live forever

  • Very good and really underrated drummer...and the whole band. Is's pleasure to hear such things.

  • a ba la clope mé vive camel

  • It's unbelievable how there's just a handful of Camel vids on YouTube. And less videos with Andy Ward drumming. Andy Ward = Greatest drummer ever

  • I only just discovered this group while viewing some yes songs on here. I'm loving this group now oh yeah. I dont like todays music anyway, I dont listen to that crap. This is the stuff man.

  • simply the fu** best of

  • en dehors de l'aspect documentaire de la qualité vidéo...grand travail ! et quel plaisir de revoir Camel dans sa meilleure formation !

  • Andy Latimer is a Guitar Legend!

  • Wonderful! I only know them since 2 months but I really love them. Go see the video f ''Nimrodel'' in 1976 I think... It's a masterpiece!

  • Snow Goose=Excellence

  • Better drummer on this vid. Must be the original.

  • mirage, snow goose and moonmadness...hard to say wich one's the greatest masterpiece

  • holykimi u r right. as a matter a fact camel should be way hype band than pink floyd.

  • thats so good

  • Camel...wow...I love this band since I'm 14 years old and I smoked weed with my friends...hehehe Snow goose rulez !!!

  • SNOW GOOSE WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

i am so glad i bought the album so i can sit down and listen to the whole thing in full over and over and over and over...

  • ywho is the other guy that plays the 2nd flute??????

  • the earlier musican from King Crimson, Mel Collins ;)

  • he's the saxophonist ? =D

  • Mel collins is the saxophonist.

Andy latimer is the Guitar player

  • I think its Mel Collins-- a british reeds legend who played with Crimson, etc...

  • camels album rajaz is one of the best albums ever made....and i listen mostly to metal but i can`t stop listen to camel and they shuld be right up there with pink floyd

  • i'm just 17, i think not nearly enough people my age have heard of them. even among the broader minded ones. It seems strange listening to them, as if i'm way too young to be able to. i only know them because my this album came out when my dad was my age.. but i love them, so much of the best music can be found in the past.

  • Ah how nice to see that The Snow Goose is not forgotten! I have loved that album since it came out and I still do.

  • im 22, and they are one of my favorite bands out there, we young progheads are out there, dont forget that we exist, and we wil carry the torch further down the road, so bands like camel, king crimson, tull, caravan, etc arent forgotten.

  • que groso que es Camel!! se zarpa!!

  • le meilleure groupe de rock progressif que je connaisse avec steve hackett et alan parsons...

Latimer et resolument mon guitariste preferé

  • the younger generation could take a lesson or two from these guys.great stuff lots of memories

  • Completely agree with comment from "wigginsdesign". What a great band that was! They don't make music like that anymore...

  • camel make the most beautiful music i have ever heard.

just wish i was around when they played so i coulda gone to see them.

  • THAK YOU! wonderful! Not sure I have or even seen this one

  • Awesome version :P

    Thanks for sharing!

  • Definately one of the sweetest souding bands in all prog.

I was very emotionallly moved by the 'Snow Goose' in the early 70's.

  • Amen to all the above ! Terrific stuff !

  • Wonderfull. I miss that time when music had meaning. These new "bands" have a lot to learn.

  • excellent excellent stuff!!!

  • some of the greatest performers with yes and oldfield

  • Thank you for sharing this LedHalen!

  • ..Much more like it :D Awesome stuff

  • What a step back in time...brought tears of joy to my eyes remembering back to when I saw the complete performance at Friars in Aylesbury on the Snow Goose tour....fantastic....

  • I have seen Camel about 10 times. They lost something when Peter Bardens left. RIP Peter. Miss you.

  • Estoy completamente de acuerdo, la ida de Peter fue una gran pérdida.

  • fantastic video , camel is the greatest prog band ever

  • camel is my favorite band EVER, they are so great, for those who dont know them well, here are for me his best albums: camel-camel, moonmadness, the snow goose, mirage, nude, rain dances, if you want information about them just write to me, ok bye...

  • stationary traveller and Harbour of Tears are always near my cd players... Always!

  • With all respect to this amazing video (and i thank LedHalen for posting it) i have to say that in comparison to the CD album in her the tempo here is too fast, so i think u should listen to the CD before listening to this video clip to really grasp the beautifullness of this musical piece

  • I saw them twice as well.Use this as my ring-tone

  • Thank you led halen. Love you!

  • I saw these guys twice in the old days, great stuff

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting these video clips of Camel... I gave up trying to find them altho I knew they existed.. One of the most melodic and tight bands ever....

  • The old lineup is great, but Mel Collins is needed for his awesome sax skills.

  • Yeahhhh! This rocks! I definetly prefer this version over the one I uploaded, this is almost the original, you should get the cd "A Live Record" it's a 2-CD collection of Camel's concerts from 1975-78, and they played all the Snow Goose (Master Piece) with the original line-up + the London Symphony Orchestra (disc 2)...

    Thanx for this jewel.
