truly they run aftermarket big block motors , built just for monster trucks. then the guys get top of the line heads cams ect.. and the tricks they do that no-one else know.a fine example ,GRAVE DIGGER that crew is on top of most other monster trucks. digger always wins 90 % of the time!.

This truck gets more BIG AIR consistantly than any other truck in monster jam. MAX D and Digger just go plain nuts in freestyle... Damon Bradshaw is an expert with throttle control and that comes from his supercross expereince. I was at World Finals 10 and the way he was pitching the truck in the air over and over in freestyle, in total control was just amazing.

Blitzkrieg... the trucks break because they weigh 10,000 pounds and even the strongest steel can only take so much...  sometimes these trucks are literally flying 30, even 40 feet in the air. The metal just fatigues or they land akwardly and for lack of better words... crash and burn. 10,000 pounds crashing to the ground repeatedly... somthing has to give eventually.

A little story... I race motocross. I dont follow the monster truck thing but watch once in a while. The other day I was watching and there is this guy with obvious skill the others dont have. Throttle control, corner set up and speed, jump face cntroll, recovery from mistakes that shows real finess. I was suprised to say the least. Then I heard the name Damon Bradshaw. I was floor to see my fav moto racer from yrs ago. Look out monster truck. Real talent is here!

@lolffslolffs Honestly, the fiberglass bodies aren't very important. They simply give the trucks a cool look and distinguish one from another. They do protect the engine and the structure from dirt and debris, but honestly, a monster truck can go without that. That's why you see so many keep going even if they lose part or all of the fiberglass, they simply don't require it to run.
