Hate to say it, but, I really don't think that's a funnel cloud. It has some slight rotation, but, it is not well formed, I agree with the other comment that this is a wall cloud.

actualy looking at this, the rotation has a pretty good speed, but this one looks a bit fragmented though and might progress to a better stage, now a tornato is normaly very compressed so yer it could progress but its rare for these types to

I remember from Howard Bluestein's storm chase that this wall cloud produced a violent tornado. I don't remember where, but it might have been associated with the Andover, KS killer F-5 tornado.

definetly a wall cloud. It is what's known as a rotating wall cloud. A tornado could have spawned from this, but I noticed it started dissipating some in the end, which means the storms inflow was being weakened, causing it to have a weaker updraft in the precipitation free zone. Conditions have to be nearly perfect for these storms to drop a tornado. Over 50% of wall clouds never produce a tornado. But if stormchasers see one, they will be flocking to it.1 chaser saw 3 wall clouds at one time.

you are correct that a wall cloud is different from a tornado. The cloud in this video is NOT a tornado. It is in fact a wall cloud. There is no funnel, and there is no tornado. It is a lowering of the base of the mesocyclone, and while it may be rotating, it is NOT A funnel cloud and it is NOT a tornado.

I am an advanced spotter and have been for over ten years. There is no point in arguing here. There is no funnel cloud depicted in the video.

No problem. Some of the cloud fragments may look like funnel clouds but an actual funnel would generally appear in the very middle of this lowering, and would extend much farther, even if not touching down, than the base of the wall cloud.

The rotation for tornadic activity depends on where you are Northern Hemishpere Counter-Clockwise

Southern Clockwise.

That is a funnel spinning Counter Clockwise. You cant see it in the vid But rewind all the way then go to the end while grabbing the dot thing and you can see it.

In the beginning of the video, the axis that the funnel is spinning on is kind of horizontally situated.
