Devo has stated that they love Polysics. And I have to admit, they seem to have indeed picked up where the spud boys have left off.
If you watch the Mr. Roboto video they did, you'll see that the robot is wearing a Devo energy hat. The band also wears the devo radiation suits.
They have also openly stated that they were inspired by Devo.
One of the first J-pop bands that I actually like.

It should be pop-music except that you can only hear this once in a while before you want to explode your head. It's good though, but if I listen to this twice I'll feel like I'm getting zapped in the balls.
