...sve u svemu legendarna borba i možda najbolji box-meč koji sam gledao u životu,ali moramo priznati da je ipak Lennox bio za nijansu bolji,a Željku kapa do poda sa srčanost i za htijenje tijekom čitavog meča,trebalo je ovo sve izdržati,Željko je zaista imao čeličnu bradu za razliku od Cro Copa koji ide na spavanje na prvi udarac u bradu!!!...

Smršavio je zbog prehrane svoje , jer je postao vegeterijanac (za vrijeme karijere je već lagano prelazio na zelenilo) ... povezan je i sa nekim seljacima, pa lagano i politički se aktivira, za vrijeme prosvjeda seljaka neka priopćenja imao

Lewis and Mavrovic became very good friends, they still are to this day.

Mavrovic was unlucky in getting that debilitating illness which ended his career. Otherwise he would have been a top contenser for years afterwards.

His chin was like iron, those uppercuts of Lennox would have put most men to sleep. He gave a good account of himself and landed his best shots on Lewis but did'nt have the power to hurt him and never looked like beating the Great man.

Lewis thought he had it made with an easy fight and had to fight every round with this guy. The guy deserved a rematch bcs the fight was entertaining and competitive.

I'm not questioning the decision.

This fight tells me more about Lewis than Mavro. I can't see a Klitschko have this kind of trouble with a fighter like Mavro.

this was a good boxing! in that time boxing was an interesting and popular sport and reason for that were good boxers. too bad for mavrovic that he didn't become a champion during his career. he was muchmuch better than todays boxers. unfortunately for him he boxed in a time of great, epic boxers such as lewis, tyson and holyfield. but still, i consider him a boxing legend. maybe even one of the best european heavyweight boxers in history of the sport.

Inače, fascinantno je koliko je Mavrović ustvari čvrst bio. U tom meču Lewis je uputio preko pet stotina udaraca, a oko tri stotine je prošlo, odsjelo, kako vam drago.
