Hey man if my window is stuck down does that make the installation harder or not possible? Aslo they are telling me it might be the regulator any idea how to tell which one is the problem?
@kmorro Its possible, but it will make it harder because with the window up you use the window to move the regulator around to align the holes/screw threads to the inner panel. If your window is stuck on down jump in your car and turn it on, while pressing up your window switch as if you were putting your window up bang the door panel with a hammer fist just below your inner door handle. But you really gotta put some muscle into it.
@kmorro Thanks. I also get help myself from people posting videos on how to, so i figure i return the favor. Hope you fix your window and thanks for watching.
@kmorro My window also got stuck on the down position and thats how i got it to go up again. I would not know if it can be your window regulator but i would bet that its your window motor. My window got stuck on the up and down positions many of times and by replacing the window motor it fixed the problem. And if still not sure do some research on how many people have window regulator issues vs window motor issues on these cars. I hope i answer your questions if not shoot me another message.
@kmorro By hitting the inside of your door as i instructed might get the window motor going again and you wont be stuck with your window down and it be easier for you to replace the window motor.
Great Vid; question? How did you hold the windows up specifically? What kind of vice grip did you use? Thanks mate. Will definitely be doing this over the weekend.
@carlsair Window up,clamp from bottom left of the window just above the door panel. I used some curved jaw vise grips. Any clamping tool will do at long as it holds the window up. I used the vise grips by first putting a old rag over the portion of the window that i was going to clamp so you wont damage your glass and then clamp over the rag with the vise grip. I hope i answered your questions if not shoot me another message, I'm always glad to help.Your welcome, Thanks.
sounds like this is a very common problems for Infiniti g35...i have one and it too have the same problems. I'm trying to see if the motors from the Sedan model fit into the Coupe. If anyone try it before please let me know...THANKS
@DaiVais Sedan and Coupe motors are different. You can also call your local auto store to make sure. I believe its different because the Coupe window seals when you shut the door and i don't believe the Sedan does the same.
@91342George my car got problems man the cd player in the shop for two more days n I'm driving around with the heater fully blowing 90 degrees on a sunny day and now the window getting stuck........Can't wait to fix it n move on.....thanks for the vid very helpful
@diddy150 I hear you man. CD's getting stuck/ERROR message? If so next time just hold down the Eject button for a while and it should pop the CD's right out, it worked for me. Or better yet just get yourself a Ipod connector while your radio is off your car right now and you get rid of the problem of the CD's getting stuck. But i hear you man, good luck bro, hope you get your G fixed. Thanks for watching.
Hey mine is the passenger side. The problem is it works if you want to open it all the way up or down and you have to hold the button until it's fully closed or opened. When I try to open it half way it will do it but it stops after that you have to hit the door to start it again. What do you think it needs?
@diddy150 That sounds very familiar. You need a window motor. I had the same problem but except my would just freeze after the window was all the way down or all the way up and i sat there hitting the inside of the door panel to get the motor going till it worked.
@Alizah14 O'reily auto parts. I believe it was $176 no more then $180 with Lifetime warranty. The driver side and passenger side motors are different prices, both under $180 and both lifetime warranty.
