@smokythejet I said Hornbuckle saved Parker's ass. Parker choked time and time again and Hornbuckle, the true hero of the tournament saved her ass time and time again. UConn leads the overall series 13-9 and is 4-0 in championship games, when it matters most. Tennessee's dominance pre-1990 was a monopoly on great women's basketball players, which is pretty much irrelevant nowadays, but even if you want to argue them, UConn still only has one fewer championship overall but in far less time. Sorry

@tonyspizza1800 1987, 1989, 1991, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2007, 2008... Pretty much the same amount of time. Only difference is that most of our championships came in the ninety's and yours came more recently. The team has been torn up with injuries to our major players in the last few years. Last year we didn't have all that great of a team and look what Pat did with it.... This year will be a better year, national championship year? I don't know.... But it will be a good year.

Now I do give alexis credit for running hard to the glass and finishing, but that whole sequence was created by candace driving to the lane and drawing the defender away from her teammate who is right under tthe basket might I add. If not for the defense paying so much attention to candace they would have been in position to get the defensive rebound....so in technically alexis saves Nicky's behind seeing that she missed the layup.

LSU should be interesting to watch this year with Allison Hightower and the new freshman. The game against UConn was pretty good. They'll be back to the final four soon enough, maybe not this year but for sure in the years to come. We'll see.
