3dgameman your videos are just awesome :) very informative, but i would really like seeing a video on how to set up a home server pc . that would be really appreciated.
I'm guessing this wouldn't fit a GTX480? If I was after a lan case (that fits a GTX480) and that could double as an HTPC case what would you recommend?
@Geoxile I currently have a GTX480 in my computer, was wondering if it would be transferable into something smaller (I would like it to double as a lan build). But yes, I might have to look at a 450 or 460. Thanks. :D
@BenHanna7 Being honest, you're better off steering clear of either this case or the GTX 480 or 470. With nVidia's current heating problems, even though it may fit, it WILL suffer from poor ventilation, be very very noisy and possibly overheat. The concept of HTPC is that the thing will be under your TV where a DVD player would normally be and it won't be used for gaming. Therefore, nothing more than a GF9400/9500 or ATI HD 4550/4650 or 5650/5750 would be needed and cooling is within limits.
i have a brush aluminum laptop and it doesn't get scratch anywhere as much as plastic ones... but most computer cases are made out of titanium or something like that...
that sucks i never get that type of atx case anyways i always want ones with windows to show what i got and lots of huge fans and what not.... i guess my laptop doesn't scratch as much cuz it also has magnesium added to the aluminum... i tried doing a scratch test on my laptop with my nails and nothing ever happens
This was a good review but I'm surprised rodney didn't mention the 90 degrees PCI slot, I would have thought it was something that differentiates this case from most other ones.
Can I install a 240mm radiator in it(possibly with modification) such as the one in the upcoming Corsair HD100?

@BenHanna7 Why would you try too fit a 480 in a HTPC case...get a GTS 450 or GTX 460, they could fit probably

@BenHanna7 If you want a lan case, get a CM Storm series case. Scout or Sniper should be good for your current HW setup.

@233kosta Thanks for the help.

is it low profile?
bubinasuit 1 year ago
@bubinasuit No, this case will fit standard GPUs, but low profile CPU coolers are recommended if a DVD/BD drive is installed.

This actually looks really ugly, Sorry =(

it seems really good craft. It just lack of a 3"1/2 front tray for a SD/SFcard reader for my own tastes, this makes me hesitate ;)

Lol it doesn't look like a htpc case to me at all lol.

Hello Rodney,
Are you ever gonna review the Corsair Obsidian 800D?
ItsjustagameNUB 2 years ago
Corsair would have to send it to him so he can review it, I doubt he would want to buy it though.
richy123xd 2 years ago
It seems like a pretty good case, but it should have come with a media remote
Lvaneede 2 years ago
or you can buy a ps3
MrWillsaysrave 2 years ago
If you don't like seeing exposed ports on the front of the case, look at the SilverStone Grandia GD02, which has a cover for the ports.
procrast 2 years ago
As Asus M2N68-AM PLUS is Micro ATX, it should fit.
Nice case anyway (many 120mm-fans which is great for lower noise), but it's a pity it doesn't fit 3 3.5" HDD's.
Chrijz 2 years ago
what are you talking about? of course it fits 3.5" HDDs...
davidxu1019 2 years ago
Not according to the reviewer. Maximum 2x3.5" + 1x2.5" according to him.
Chrijz 2 years ago
I think you misunderstood me, I wrote: "3 3.5"", maybe I should've written "three 3.5"".

For multimedia great, for gaming you should consider a more bigger case with many more fans etc.

Omg, Awesome for a HTPC Case this could actually have potential to make it into a Gaming PC

I think the external finishing is what matters
in this particular case .
legendray2008 2 years ago
How long can the optical drive be, before it means you have to use a smaller CPU cooler?
AndyBlooman 2 years ago 2
It depends on the cooler that used. SilverStone has more information on their website about this.
3DGAMEMAN 2 years ago
BTW: This case fits 10.5" long video cards, but 11" video cards would be a very tight fit.
3DGAMEMAN 2 years ago
What type of case is this?
Although you mention certain computer pieces or certain areas to add things such as HDD's
But this really doesn't look like a proper computer case or a gaming case.
You mentioned media earlier but as in like what?

FYI: I made this video private until YouTube processed it to HD. This is done to avoid the `where`s the HD` questions I continuously receive.
3DGAMEMAN 2 years ago
YouTube sucks on that.. It would be nice if the videos would come available only after they get processed completely.
LaDeXi 2 years ago 11
Yes, maybe YouTube will do that because it would make sense. Or at least an option the uploader can select.
