It's legal in Tulsa. My Mom spent 6 weeks in ICU and 2 more months in a skilled care facility. The nursing home that did this has abused many and I have the emails to prove it. They were found guilty of causing a death also but they are still up and running. Our attornies are just as bad. They have drug the case out for 3 and a half years promising justice until the last meeting when I was told, that because my Mom didn't die, that there is no case. This is killing me. NOBODY cares!

And then there is the other side of the coin...my mom lives with us. When she does not get her way, she claims abuse. Last week my husband refused to buy an 800 dollar vacuum, and she called elder abuse hotline. We have done ALL we can to accommodate her in every way possible, and now I am at risk of losing everything.

and want proof that old people are not like children? i've seen a teenage gym class mate of mine who was 15 years old wrestle my gym class teacher who was about 79 years old and it was pretty fair fight. the teacher even won at the end so age does not matter unless you are a real child who's 12 years old or younger. besides if an old person abuses some one i think the elderly person should be giving the CHAIR as well!

I think that nowadays, because of the strict laws governing elder abuse, and because of the higher standards in hiring Nurses, what is more prevalent is NURSES' ABUSE, that is, the elderly abuse Nurses by racist remarks, even physical abuse as they physically harm the Nurses when they don't like them for whatever reason.

@Joanthecutey i know which is why i plan on making a video about elders being abusive one of these days. just to see what some people will then say when they see abuse going both ways. elders do abuse there younger loved ones too, but it is rarley ever reported. and this is a crime too, and it's also discrimination. i would give this video a dislike and rate it 0 stars for not telling us the fact that elders themselves can ALSO be the abusers in family violence and DV violence.

And then there is the other side of the coin...my mom lives with us. When she does not get her way, she claims abuse. Last week my husband refused to buy an 800 dollar vacuum, and she called elder abuse hotline. We have done ALL we can to accommodate her in every way possible, and now I am at risk of losing everything.
