  • I suppose he plays with passion but it's very strange to play bulerias without following the rhythm. I don't uderstand why Carlos Montoya would learn all these hard falsetas but just not bother with working out how they fit into the compas. Listen to Sabicas play bulerias and you will see what I mean!

  • I was privileged to witness his beyond outstanding performance and audience interractions in Dallas, TX back in the fall of 77. I've never forgotten that experience as we sat in center about five rows back. What made it even more enjoyable, it was my cousin's treat of a lifetime for me....
