I don't uderstand why Carlos Montoya would learn all these hard falsetas but just not bother with working out how they fit into the compas. I was privileged to witness his beyond outstanding performance and audience interractions in Dallas, TX back in the fall of 77. I've never forgotten that experience as we sat in center about five rows back. What made it even more enjoyable, it was my cousin's treat of a lifetime for me....
I met him when I was about ten years old and had just started to play the guitar. He was a guest of my neighbor, who was a Spanish professor at Frostburg State Teachers College in western Maryland (now Frostburg State University.)
I just watched 5 times in a row... BRB ... need at least 50 times more... Just incredible.
